“I can't imagine a better place to stay!”
Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in May 2014

This was our first trip to Scotland and we chose the Pitlochry area for its central location and beautiful terrain. The Cow Shed seemed like a wonderful lodging from the pictures online, but the pictures don't do the property justice! Both the setting and the accommodations are stunning. Our hosts, Kirsty and Steve, were extremely cordial and made our stay even more delightful.

The location is central to many sights you'll want to enjoy and we were able to comfortably travel from the east coast to the west, and from the north highlands to lovely areas south by taking day trips. Shopping is close in Pitlochry and hiking and sightseeing abound in the area. We stayed in two other lodgings in different parts of the country, but if we are blessed to return to Scotland, we'll choose to spend all our time at the Cow Shed. We HIGHLY recommend it!

“This gem was a real find”
Reviewed 7 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting, but not remote and handy for all that Perthshire and the Highlands has to offer. The cottage was clean , well equipped and furnished well with an eye for detail. The owners are very friendly and available if you have any problems or queries, but without being intrusive. We would certainly recommend this cottage to singles or couples.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We have just returned from a fortnight's stay in this perfect little getaway. The cottage has everything you can think off and is furnished to a very high standard. Steve and Kirsty are the perfect hosts and it is obvious they care about their guests. The view is amazing and it is so peaceful and quiet. Even when the weather was not so good it was no hardship to stay in with a roaring fire in the log burner it was perfect. If we ever holiday in this area again I am sure we will be returning to this wonderful cottage!!

“Another perfect stay!”
Reviewed 27 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

What can I add that hasn't been said before?! Spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, very well equipped and with great views, this is the perfect self catering holiday destination. Steve and Kirsty are a really lovely couple whose presence added to our holiday experience. They made us feel like old friends rather than guests who only pop up once a year.

There are walks from the door and several Munros within a 10 minute drive. We stayed for two weeks and found a different route for every day of our stay. Blair Athol Castle was an enjoyable day out and a visit to Edradour distillery and the Highland Chocolatier were also highlights for rainy days.

We loved our time in Cowshed 1 and felt privileged to be amongst the first people to see Cowshed 2 finished. Steve has done an outstanding job of renovating it and with all Kirsty's touches at the end this is another superb holiday let. We'll see you next year, looking forward to it already!
