We came for the enchanted forests experience ! It was certainly that in the hotel! No car parking space didnt help, the car park is full of old chairs rubbish and broken bits and pieces ! We went thro coach house to find our room ! It was like a Wild West bar omg. Filthy walls all dirty into main hotel carpets never hoovered ! desk all untidy furniture past it's sell by date the lift and stairs are covered in dust. Only plus staff were lovely but on the 3 level rooms are beyond past it. Decor 1960 ! Most walls have massive scratches of chips on the paint work
Our carpet in the room was dreadful all dusty and wrinkled. Not worth your money. Stay at the Inn on the Tay instead.

This was the worst hotel in which we stayed on our trip to Scotland.

We were supporting friends on a charity bike ride raising money for Harefield Hospital where their son is awaiting a transplant. Every other hotel was welcoming and understanding and provided a safe place for bike parking. This one was dismissive and unhelpful, no safe place, yes we could take bikes to our rooms, no the rooms were not on the ground floor. Be aware that car parking is a very long walk from the hotel entance (if you can get a space) especially carrying luggage (no assistance was offered)

Once we got to our rooms (some distance, this is a large and rambling hotel) it was apparent there was quite a difference between the two adjacent rooms, despite them being the same price, one was larger with a bath and a coffee machine.

This hotel has contracts with large group tours, when they arrive you cannot get near reception. This is clearly where they make their money and they do not seem to want the bother of individual customers. I asked directions to the (unsignposted) restaurant and was treated very dismissively. The staff are young, some well trained, some not so much. We chose not to eat dinner here as a local our friends met on the ride told us the Mill over the road would be better. Breakfast was self service and acceptable.

On return I found I had been overcharged by an extra night, which they have refunded following a telephone call, saying that the system had not recognised two rooms had been paid for one one card. You should certainly check your credit card bill if you stay here.

we were with a coach trip and we asked receptionist who was a lovely young man, very helpful, could not do enough for us to get the room type we wanted, sorry never got his name he helped us so much and we had two large rooms next to each other.
food excellent especially for coach parties, staff very nice and quick to serve the food.
would def recomend this hotel and it is in the middle of Pitlochry.

Room Tip: quieter rooms are facing the gardens to the back with view of hills

Friendly welcome, fantastic room with view over garden. Facilities were great, room spotless and breakfast was a great start to the day.

The staff in this hotel are lovely, you feel like they care and want your stay to be a good experience.

A little older fashioned, yes. A little twee, yes. But charming and very Scottish, yes...don't change x

Room Tip: Upgrade, worth it.
