We stayed here for 2 nights on a tour of Scotland.
Although our sons had a lovely, bright and quiet room at the back of the house, my wife and I had a fairly cramped room at the front overlooking a busy road and railway track beyond, making it rather noisy. The pitch of the ceiling meant that you were unable to sit up in bed and watch (the very, very small) TV and to make a cup of tea, the kettle had to be boiled on the carpet - not very safe.
Our room did have an en suite but, having been retro fitted into the room, it was a little like getting ready in a telephone box!
Overall, Morag Cottage is very clean and Maureen looked after us very well at breakfast but it does all seem a little businesslike and not overwhelmingly welcoming.More
