Terrible weather with snow and cold winds so the tour of the palace was very welcome. There are guides in each room to explain about the history with a good map to get you round the grounds. The grounds are pretty with various walks available. You can take your dog on a lead around the grounds. There is a children's play area as well as a maze. A good half day out and only 5 minutes from Perth.

An interesting visit this morning to the castle. The tour guides in the castle were really helpful explaining the history of each room. Got lost in the maze before heading over to the play area, which had a great zip wire. A fun day morning out.

Visited on Easter Sunday when there were activities for children which looked good fun. It is a tad expensive for the few rooms you can view. On,y the ground floor is accessed, but it is beautiful and historically interesting. The grounds are extensive and offer varied walks.

Steeped in history, the palace is well worth a visit. Knowledgable and friendly guides in the palace itself and beautiful gardens and maze to walk round outside. Cafe, gift shop and clean toilets. Keep your eyes open for the stunning peacocks that wander around the grounds!
