“Hidden gem”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in December 2013

I stayed in the Coille Diobhain with some friends for couple of nights during Christmas Holidays 2013/2014. The house is very cosy and comfortable to live. We loved it a lot especially the new extension with a fire place and superb views across the mountains. The property is located in a quiet place but the road to the house is very good and it is only 20 min to Fort William. The area near the house is beatiful with some walks starting literally on the door. Famouse Parallel Roads of Glen Roy are just 5 min drive from the house. The owners are very easy to coomunicate and very nice. They left us some welcoming treats:) The only difficulty we had is finding the keys but we came to the house in the dark.

“Views To Die For and Excellent Accomodation”
Reviewed 17 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Great place to stay with lovely surroundings in a beautiful location with nature on your doorstep and lots to do locally within 20mins drive. The house is very comfortable and well maintained with all mod cons at hand. The owner is excellent to deal with and is very helpful. We spend a fabulous week in the house even made better by the great weather. The village Shop in Roy Bridge has a very nice Coffee Shop. Can’t wait to go back in the future. Thanks again Alex

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed 10 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I stayed at Coille Diobhain with my wife and two daughters (ages 12 and 13) during the first week of July. It seemed to rain a little each day but we also had periods of sun and spectacular beauty. Coming from New Mexico, we loved the fact that it was cool and green there.

My wife, daughters, and I absolutely loved the cottage and the area. The cottage feels very secluded although there are many things to do close by. For example, we saw the Harry Potter train, went on a hike, visited Loch Ness, visited Glen Coe and Glen Nevis, went to the Glen Nevis whisky distillery, and went to the Glengarry Highland Games. We also read while enjoying the amazing views. We also watched some DVDs that are found in the cottage, although we had to watch them in the bedroom because we couldn't get the DVD player in the living room to work (I'm not sure if we were just doing something wrong).

The cottage itself is extremely well-maintained and comfortable. The owners clearly take good care of it and make sure that it is well equipped for visitors. I highly recommend this cottage for anybody who wants to visit the western Scottish highlands.

Liked best: The location cannot be beat
Liked least: I found some dog hairs in the cottage. I would prefer staying in a place that doesn't allow pets. That being said, it was not very bad. The owners just need to be cautious about allowing pets or it could get dirty.

“Amazing Cottage - The owners have thought of eveything”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Fantastic Cottage, very well laid out so perfect for 2 families with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms and a further bathroom downstairs. We really appreciated the manuals, information and walking guides, we followed one the first morning from the cottage the adults walked and the children on their bikes. The kitchen was impressively well stocked and functional- we managed to make a delicious Sunday dinner of roast chicken and enjoyed it while looking at the snow capped mountain view. The surrounding scenery is amazing
Private grounds for children / dogs to play. The Children had great fun playing in the woods in the grounds of the cottage ad built a Den where they enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch. We have left the Den for other families to enjoy.
Would highly recommend and we will be back soon 

“Fantastic cottage with wonderful views and peaceful location”
Reviewed 2 May 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We enjoyed a brilliant time staying at the cottage. The accommodation was excellent and provided everything we needed for a great time... with wifi, TV, garden and wood to play in for our sons and a beautiful setting with stunning views for us all to enjoy. Evenings watching the sun set from the lovely sun room with the log burner providing warmth made for a very special time. We would definitely stay again!
