We travelled all throughout Scotland for 14 days and stayed in 8 different B&B's and hotels. Our stay at the Culloden House Hotel was the longest at any one place and the accommodations were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful the entire time. We got several great recommendations for less touristy things to do while in town. Kyle and the waiting staff were very pleasant to talk to during breakfast. There is a beautiful walled garden in the back of the property that was nice for an evening stroll. I'll be back to Inverness in the future and I fully intend to book with the Culloden House Hotel. Highly recommended.

Culloden House is a beautiful old manor house with a storied history. Bonnie Prince Charlie commandeered it and slept here before the battle of Culloden. His tartan hangs above the fireplace in the entry. Our room was up and down some convoluted corridors and was very large. The bathroom was large and comfortable with heated towel bar. The restaurant is also very good. The house is obviously very old and a bit creeky but this adds to the charm and elegance of this very lovely hotel. The staff were fun and helpful. 3 days were not long enough! There is also a walled garden which you get a key to on your key ring and it is not to be missed! It is located near Inverness but even closer to Culloden Battlefield.

Room tip: I only saw the view from our room but it overlooked a huge, manicured lawn and I think every room has a great view!

Stayed at this wonderful hotel for a weekend, set in beautiful gardens & pond in a quiet location, fantastic service from when you arrive until your departure.
Rooms with Queen size beds large bathrooms, outstanding cuisine from local produce within the area. The bar has over 150 whiskys from all parts of Scotland,Gins & beers.
This house is steeped in history where bonnie Prince Charlie stayed prior to the Battle of Culloden.

Room tip: Private wings or Bonnie Prince Charlie room fantastic.

This is a hotel in a very old building which is extremely well maintained and everyone we met who works there appears to absolutely love it, with the result that we really liked each and every one of them, doing their jobs just right.
Super room, walk in shower + huge bath, everything A1.
No criticisms, except the breakfast chef might consider slightly smaller portions for scrambled egg & smoked salmon which was enough to fuel a contestant for tossing the caber.
Anyway, it’s not cheap but it is superb and it’s rather nice actually feeling being a valued guest. And it’s close to the airport when the time comes to depart.
