The North Highland Way passes through Dunnet Head, the most northerly point of the UK mainland. Dunnet Head has been described as Caithness in miniature. It is a beautiful wild place, far from the madding crowd. The views to Orkney are stupendous, and you can see puffins, orca, minke whale and, last week, even a walrus!

Visited on a cold, sunny afternoon and experienced the most amazing views across to the Orkney islands. This would be a great place to walk in summer and take in the vista and wide variety of bird and sea life

The most northerly place in the uk and one of my favourite places to visit in Scotland. Midway between Thurso and Ogroats and a must for all who wants to go to the real most northern point of main land UK. Great location great views and a magical location, certainly a place not to miss.
