We stayed in this cottage at the end of January for four nights. We found the cottage very cosy and warm. The central heating system was quite new and kept the cottage at a nice temperature all day and night. There was also a multifuel stove in the living room. Within 30 minutes of this stove being on, the room was very very warm.
The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. Thankfully the trains stopped running at night time so we had a very good sleep.
The kitchen was well equiped and new. We cooked several meals in the cottage and had every utensil we needed.
The bathroom was large and had a shower in the bath. The shower water pressure wasn't great but was more than adequete.
We used this cottage as a base for snowboarding and doing other activities in the area. It was always welcoming to return there.
We had a 6 month old baby with us and found it very handy that there was a high chair and a travel cot available for use.
Grahame (the owner) stopped by during our stay to make sure eveything was ok and we had all that we needed. He was there for a total of five minutes and was very curteous.
In conclusion, we would (and likely will) stay here again. Why pay £80 - £100 a night for a hotel room that sleeps two when cottages like this are available?
