Description: We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?

Called in for breakfast before a big day out to conquer Ben Macdui. The food was so delicious and filling we hardly needed the packed lunch we took with us. I had gorgeous porridge with spiced fruit and pecans. The boys had huge pancakes with berries, bacon and maple syrup. My daughter had the kids berries and yoghurt. We'll definitely return. The cafe was very busy but we didn't wait long for service and the staff were helpful and

Despite the shortened menu this summer and having to wait for a table. It absolutely met all expectations. Best coffee I have had since we arrived in the U.K. My black pudding pork and apple scotch egg on red cabbage coleslaw was delicious and my husband announced his steak in flatbread as the best steak sarnie he has ever had!! Will buy the cook book on my return to NZ.

This place is suffering from its great ratings here, and there is clearly too much demand during the busy peak tourist season. That said, it is good, even with the limited menu that are currently offering (the owner is helping her husband get through cancer treatment), so get in early if you don't like waiting! Like all busy little cafes, you will have to wait if in a big group so factor this in and don't grumble, or go elsewhere! Prices are on the high side, but why not when you have more business than you can cater for? I would definitely return, but only if I could get in without q'ing for long.

Waited over an hour before being able to come inside, and once inside, waited for half an hour for our orders (which turned out to be wrong) . Food was nothing special, normal pub quality... Definitely not worth the hour of waiting!!

Had a day trip up the funicular railway. Treated ourselves to a cuppa and cakes. Lovely views and the cakes were delicious
