As we were travelling South early next day, we decided to stay here for the night. Great location near to all stations, restaurants, bars and shopping. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. The decor is amazing with all the Glasgow scenes and the rooms are all individual style and decor. Loved our police/Dr Who box on the wall! Good nights sleep on the comfortable bed and bathroom well stocked. Only downside that Ibis seem to have is only 1 bath towel per person. Why not a small hand towel too, please. Are we saving on the laundry costs or trying to be very eco friendly. Breakfast was the usual continental style which was adequate. All things considered this new Hotel in the City Centre is a winner!

Hi Mhomac
Seems you really liked the hotel, great news, always cheers me up when i hear the team looked after you , and our beds really are stunning, i stay here a lot and its one of the best hotel beds ive slept in.
Your point about bath towels is well noted, we are introducing hand towels in all rooms this week and if you need more , please just let front desk know and we can sort .
Thanks for posting a 5 star review.
My best
Rory

I like this kinda hotel, bang in the city centre, 10 mins from Central station, 5 mins from Queen St station.Sainsburys local shop just round corner, Any shop you could imagine within 10 mins walk in either direction. The decor is very modern, super comfy bed, really attentive informative friendly staff who we think must live at the hotel, he checked us in on Sunday Afternoon, Served us a drink in the evening & helped out with breakfast the following morning, I hope your paying your staff well Ibis for the long hours they work.
Ok so they were the positives now just a couple of negatives.
The price of 2 beers in the bar was over £3 than for the same two beers in Wetherspoons over the road so no surprise really that your bar was very quiet.
Secondly the shower.....Room 315 anyways our experience was poor....the decor was, is amazing we loved it but......the shower pressure was absolutely rubbish....perhaps a one off but quite dissapointed after you ticked so many boxes.
Thirdly.....The breakfast was seriously boring.....A very poor continental style breakfast not my cup of tea at all but hey other people might like that but me I love a cooked breakfast & had to nip over to Wetherspoons for my fix.
We would stay again and recommend....providing you sort out the shower pressure and hows about sime coat hooks in the room?

Hello DavieeH
Thanks for a good wee review, its always nice to hear the team are noticed for working hard ( i promise they do go home occasionally )
Looking at your negative points in order, the price of our beers are priced against the local pubs and restaurants near by , im afraid we cannot compete with the prices of a Wetherspoons though.
The second point on shower pressure ive noted and passed to maintenance to check today , i think perhaps it might just have been a busy morning and as such water demand might have been high as we dont tend to have any water issues.
Breakfast is really a Brand thing and we feel we try to add good value products like Actimel yogurts , good breads and meats and cheese, so that we keep it a bit above boring, although id love to offer a full cooked breakfast we cannot at this point, but you never know.
Hooks in the rooms, good idea, ill have this worked on this week.
Look forward to you coming back to us to stay with us.
My best
Rory

We stayed 2 nights here. It's very near the Central train station, great location, near everything in city centre, but off a quieter street so not too busy/noisy. The staff were friendly at the check-in. I liked the cool decor of the room and inside the hotel, reflecting Scottish and Glaswegian heritage/quirkiness. The room is decent size for a city centre hotel. The bed was comfy! We also enjoyed the welcome gifts of Irn-Bru and Tunnock's teacakes we found in our room! ;)

Breakfast was Continental, had an OK selection, not fancy but enough to fill you up. The only problem we had was the wifi was down one morning for a few hours, seems to an on-going problem from the reviews? I mean you are not expecting a luxury hotel being Ibis, but overall I was happy with my stay, good value for everything! I'd stay there again!

Hello WANTMETOCHANGE
Always good to read a review that covers all bases, seems we got your stay pretty much bang on.
Our beds really are stunning, the Sweet bed by Ibis Styles is something to really enjoy and i personally think its one of the best in any hotel. The Irn Bru and Tunnocks tea cakes are just a wee minding as a "hello" from us at the hotel, im glad you enjoyed them.
WIFI has been a bit of a nightmare but im happpy to say we are running 100% now .
Look forward to welcoming you back on your next stay
My best

Great central location, staff at reception very welcoming and friendly. The room was a tad small, however for the price we paid it was good value. Was also a nice change having a continental breakfast rather than they typical fry up. The only downside was that the WiFi was down from just after arriving on the Thursday, and didn't start working again until just before we left on the Saturday. Ideal location for shops, restaurants and bars. Plus the Glasgow touches to the hotel are fab. Keep up the good work guys!

Thank you for your review, i think you are right we offer great value for money and have a great location. We work hard on our breakfast offering and try to add weekly little extras that keep it all looking fresh and varied.
Our WIFI is a bit of a iffy one, its all sorted now and im happy to say that we are running full tilt .

Really enjoyed our 1 night in this new hotel, from the friendly check in, the clean rooms and the red hot walk in showers. The free WiFi was excellent also. Really handy for all the city centre bars and shops. Would have liked a bacon sandwich in the morning but the continental breakfast was ok.

Well kevinB
You sir can come again and stay any time. So good to sit down of a night and read nice things about our hotel. Bacon sarnies are never going to happen but we do often mix up the continental breakfast offering with extras to keep it looking varied.
