Came it last night for a meal for a friends 65th birthday, we already booked a table for us. Tony was great with us he put the birthday cake in the cellar till we needed it. He took our order at the bar and made our drinks very quickly (was impressed). we Asked to bring the cake out, Tony lit the candles and brought the cake over for us. He then brought a knife and little plates for us which was a nice touch, He was very friendly and had us all laughing. although the staff looked busy last night he took photos for us. Great night, great food and amazing Staff. Tony's big sister was also very friendly and kind.

myself and a few family members came into the springcroft last week for the first time in a long time.

the last time i came in i’ll be honest i swore i wouldn’t be back .. but on this occasion i’m so happy to see so many improvments not only in cleanliness but the staff and the food also.

i was pleasantly surprised with the warm welcome by Lisa what a lovely girl , service was quick not messing around , food wait time was minimal.

compared to the last time this is a massive improvement staff too busy chatting to acknowledge us last time i was in and the atmosphere was not so friendly.

the kids area is looking fabulous , and lisa was telling us about the plans to improve the beer garden which is already begun i can see this being a great place to be during the summer if we get the weather.

also mentioned to lisa i maybe in touch in september for a booking for a birthday for around 30 will be in touch when i know more.

many many thanks to the wonderful staff who do u proud and also to the chefs for the wonderful food produced

Staff were absolutely fantastic. Made us feel welcome, treated kids especially well. Normally have a fight to get kids out but they love coming to Springcroft. New kids area is amazing. Garden has been done up and looking much better. What a fantastic spot this will be in the summer.

It has been 4 years since I completed university, and myself and some fellow Process Engineers have struggled to find a place which fulfils our preconceptions of what a friendly and reasonably priced restaurant/bar should be. All I can say is we hit the jackpot with this place.
Being a local lad, I had regularly passed non-assuming building decorated in pleasing pastel colours, and wondered about their Koftas.

One night we bit the bullet during an annual jolly and managed to blag a table for 12, BEST DECISION EVER
Spicy and crisp mini madras pakora bites.... CHECK
Succulent beer battered mushrooms with a tangy BBQ dip..... CHECK
Juicy and moist chicken wings with a blue cheese dip that doesn't overpower the pallet...CHECK

And the Koftas, my only regret is that I only ordered one portion!

Thank you so much to Jonathan our waiter, who proved that the waiting game in the East End is thriving once more!

The restaurant has went right down hill. A family meal with parts of orders arriving without the rest until it was asked for. A fight between young men in the bar area which was carried out onto the street. When there was children present within the restaurant. The food wasn’t of a great standard either, cheap for a reason!

Sarah M, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Since we reopen after refurbishment we don't put cutlery on a table anymore. The waiting staff have to put cutlery in a pot once guest are seated. I will look in to the service with the drink. With the unlimited machine we just do healthy option surger free drinks. I would like to apologise for the experience u had. The mess under the table should be clean by the staff before u sit down. Many thanks. Manager
