Description: Don Costanzo is an Italian Restaurant located in the basement of 13 Woodside Crescent, Glasgow G3. Formerly the location of Nick Nairn's restaurant, it has been transformed into a warm, homely welcoming restaurant where you can enjoy the best of authentic, home cooked Italian cuisine. Don Costanzo was opened after the closure of The Caprese in Buchanan Street, a long established restaurant of 26 years, owned and run by Costanzo Cacace and his family. Costanzo gained the reputation of offering the best of the best to the best of the best. Clientèle from across the globe, famous and not so famous, enjoyed what Costanzo offered in the Caprese - fantastic food in a great atmosphere - and those people have returned to Don Costanzo for more of the same. Using only the best ingredients and produce, and with an impressive wine list to suit every taste, a trip to Costanzo's will not disappoint. Easily reached from both the city centre and west end with plentiful street parking and good transport links.

Outstanding pasta my wife is of Sicilian origin and she makes the best pasta like her grandmother taught her, the pasta here is of the same caliber. We have been traveling for six months and found this restaurant was near our Airbnb in the west end of Glasgow on tripadviser so gave it a try. What a find the amatriciana is simply out of this world. We ate here twice during our 8 day stay. The first night I had the bolognese which was very good while my wife had the amatriciana which was divine. So on our last night in Glasgow we had to visit again. We both had the amatriciana. Bellissimo!
They also have a small but very nice selection of Italian red wines very reasonably priced. Well worth a cab ride out if your staying in downtown Glasgow and nearby if your in the west end of town.

Can’t resist coming for Marsala or limone sauces. Friendliest family service and just an all round great wee spot. House Sangiovese delicious too.

I have no doubt that this outdoes every other Italian in Glasgow. It is that good. Family run. Always market fresh ingredients cooked brilliantly. The best.

Great rustic menu, very friendly.
Calamari starter very good. Delicious lasagne, many lasagnes are heavy but this was the opposite.
We were promised the best tiramisu and they did not disappoint. Delicate and light and not too much masala wine.
Very friendly and accomodating.

We turned up unannounced, without a booking, on a rainy Saturday night....and, after a very long drive from Skye, we were tired and starving .... and, although the restaurant was packed with a big birthday party, we were welcomed with open arms, a table was found for us and we enjoyed a wonderful meal (fab home made meatballs) in a happy atmosphere. This is the sort of Italian restaurant you dream about, but rarely find in real life. Just go .... you’ll love it!!
