We had a lovely afternoon tea with excellent service. All the staff are ver friendly. My only disappointment is the way they have changed the lounge. Gone are the comfy couches were you go to sit and relax, enjoy a glass of fizz and relax - now we are sitting upright over a formal table, not nearly as relaxing and not taking you back to a time gone before as it was. It smacks as of pack them in and sell them cheap. Such a pity as it as lost the old magic that it has when it first reopened. In the past you didn't mind paying that bit more for your fizz because you had the bit of nostalgia but now it's just turned into any other city centre bar. Such a pity.
