Despite some initial challenge with locating the address, Mark and John were superb and thoughtful hosts and the bed and breakfast was beautiful, comfortable and convenient. The food was lovely too. Hurry and stay there as the property is for sale and they hope to go on to new ventures!

We stayed here at this excellent spot for two nights ( 5th/6th October.) First night in the fantastic self contained flat upstairs and the second in one of the elegant rooms on the ground floor of the main house. Our hots John could not have been more helpful. He made us a delicious breakfast both days. Remarkably clean and super cosy place. Located almost in Bellahouston Park, close to M8. Really brilliant place. Many Thanks to John and the Team.

Room tip: Ask John for his advise - ALL rooms are beautiful...

I stayed at the Glasgow Guest House in September 2017 while I was doing some flower demonstrations around Glasgow. This is the second time I have stayed here and it won't be the last.
The owner John is welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.
The rooms are comfortable and spotless.
The breakfast is excellent and there is a bonus of a little kitchen to use as well as a lovely guest lounge.
It is an excellent location for visiting the area the station at Dumbreck is less than 10 minutes walk and the train takes 6 minutes into Glasgow every 30 minutes.
It is set back from a busy road but there is ample parking at the rear of the house.

Have family in this area so try and book here when we are visiting.

It is so close to Glasgow but not city centre. There is easy, ample parking. Lovely rooms, Brilliant host who can't do enough for you, good breakfast and as much as you can eat. Plenty of space to relax if you want to with a large visitors lounge and small visitor kitchen to make as much tea and coffee as you wish.

We stayed in a self contained flat, it has lounge, bedroom, kitchen area, separate bathroom and separate bedroom with two more beds.

It's all very comfortable and welcoming. Close to Dumbreck station taking you straight into Glasgow, there are several beautiful parks within easy reach, one housing a museum containing the Burrell collection and well worth a visit. Right side of Glasgow for visiting Loch Lomond, or the Ayrshire Coast.

It's a good, centrally located guest house, and value for money

John, the owner, was extremely welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and he has a wealth of knowledge about the area. My room was beautiful, spacious and extremely comfortable. There was a variety of breakfast options available, all delicious, and if you didn't want to eat out in the evening, the kitchen was available to cook your own dinner - brilliant idea! The guest house has excellent transport links (the local rail system gets you into the centre of the city in only SIX minutes) and is easily accessible from the M77, yet is based in a gorgeous, leafy suburb.
I definitely recommend this wonderful, Mackintosh-style home as a place to stay whilst exploring the joys of Glasgow and the surrounding area.
