Premier Inns is my current favourite out of the branded hotels.

In short, you know what you're going to get, whcih is generally a spacious, clean room with good facilities.

One of my favourite things in the pasty has been the super quality pillows on the bed - but for some reason, on this occasion, they didn't quite live up to my expectatioon and seemed a lot harder and less "fluffy" than on visits to other hotels in the chain.

The duvet was nice though - just the right weight on a very cold night that saw the first snowfall of the winter season.

The room was heated by an electric wall heater, but was controlled by a thermostat and seemed very responsive. I prefer my rooms on the cold side at night and the controls ensured that it was just right.

The bathroom was a bit basic, but functional and clean.

Others have mentioned traffic noise, but it was no more of a disturbance than any other hotel situated on a main road and was certainly not intrusive, though the traffic didn't really get going until it was time to wake up, so didn't bother me in the slightesty - and I had a road-facing room that was screened adequately by trees.

I ate in the attached restaurant and kept things basic at dinner, undertsanding that food from pub chains is never going to be that great quality. Burger and chips were fine for this trip!

Breakfast costs around £7 per person extra and is a buffet affair with offerings to suit everyone. Contental breakfasts are cheaper.

There was plenty of food at breakfast and the quality was better than I expected.

Staff were all perfectly reasonable and all the ones I spoke to were pleasant and friendly.

On this occasion, I was travelling on business. A good night's sleep after a 6 hour drive was my most important consideration and that's precisely what I managed to get - which is a bonus when staying away from home.

We stayed in the Premier Inn in Glenrothes for 1 night it was £65 for 2 rooms which is a brilliant price. The staff were lovely for example we didnt arrive untill aound 10pm and so missed last orders on food, the staff gave us some local take away menus and said to write the a list and give the the cash and they would order us the food which we could take up to our rooms, they also gave us plates and cutlery. this meant after a long days travel we wouldnt go to bed hungry :D
The rooms were lovely, very clean and well lit and you could set the roo temperature. The bathroom was also very clean and a nice size. Bed was perfectly fine and i had a nice nights sleep.
We had the breakfast which included a brilliant choice of food.

Overall i would recomend this hotel to anyone and if im in the area again i would stay here again.

Stayed here with my children and will definitely return. Room spotlessly clean with everything we needed and bigger than expected. Staff extremely friendly as was the waitress in the adjoining restaurant . Excellent value.
