We were flying back from Krakow and had arranged a late check in for around 11 o'clock at night. Krakow Airport was fogbound and we were informed that we would be transferred to another airport for our return flight. I emailed the apartment manager and was surprised to get a swift response from Lisa saying she was aware of the issues and would continue to monitor.
We eventually arrived in Edinburgh Airport at 5am and hoped a cafe might be open until we could reasonably arrange to contact Lisa and head to apartment. To my surprise, when I checked my phone a text from Lisa said: "see you have landed safely. Please come straight to the apartment. Lisa was there to greet us and simply said she had experienced flight cancellations before and knew how it felt.
We went straight to the largest and most comfortable beds we had ever seen in any apartment and slept into the afternoon. We then had lots of coffee and watched TV on an enormous comfy sofa and large swivel chair.
Within a 30 second walk is a walkway along the River Forth and we took a long walk to further clear our jet lagged brains. We had a further fantastic sleep that night before our return drive to Manchester the following morning.
The flat was great, the location is fantastic but the service is was incredible, undoubtedly the best I have experienced in many years of travel.
Thank you Lisa
