We were a bit of a nuisance arriving into this rather small Rose Street space hotfoot from Waverley Station with suitcases and rucksacks. But the management not only found us a table but also storage space for our luggage. At lunchtime pricing is a bit confusing. Each person can choose a minimum of three meze from a list for £11.95. Or for the same price for a minimum of two people the management will choose five cold and five hot meze. Presumably for more people the portions get larger. Two of us shared the meze cold including hummus tzatziki dolmades (stuffed vineleaves) and salads coming first, followed by hot sausage slices, chickpea falafel, soggy calamari, thin pencils of borek with feta cheese and oregano as well as crisp patatas bravado. My wife shared chicken skewers as a main with our daughter complaining the meat was a bit dry but this could have been compensated by the yoghurt dressing. A trio of deserts including crime brûlée baklava and a chocolate mousse as a substitute for profiteroles proved the highlight of the meal. Espressos were better than most. Posters ornamenting the walls hailed from much further north, in fact, Parisian nightclubs.
