I've never met such a friendly host,I've never seen such lovely interior,I've never felt such unforgettable emotions!!! Thanks to Rowena and her true commitment to her business,I'm willing to go back to that cosy place.I would recommend to everybody this cleanest b&b.

We stayed at this B and B this summer and didn't think twice when we returned to Edinburgh in November. We made a last minute booking for 8 family members and Rowena was very obliging and even found alternative accommodation for some family members for one night.
The hotel is spotlessly clean (Rowena the owner does the cleaning herself). There are little extras for the guest such as a chocolate on your pillow or bottles of mineral water every day. Breakfast is a feast (we could only manage the cooked breakfast on the first day) all freshly cooked by Rowena with ample portions. There is a choice of cooked breakfasts and a good selection of fresh fruit which puts you on for the whole day.
The hotel is well situated to get to the centre of Edinburgh (about 20 minutes by bus- catch it just round the corner). If you don't want to go to Edinburgh at night, walk down to port at Leith and there are lots of places to eat and drink. Ocean terminal is within walking distance and is a large modern shopping centre with a multicinema.
Rowena is a gem, giving advice and information about how to get to places and what to see. We will definitely be going back again the next time we go to Edinburgh.

My wife and I have just returned from Sheridan guest house and had a very enjoyable stay. We had a choice of 2 rooms both of which where adequately sized & very well presented. The breakfast selection available was very good, our personal favourites where the pancakes and the full breakfast. Rowena & Tom are both very friendly, very helpful and run a very good guest house. I have no doubts that the next time we visit Edinburgh we will be staying there again.

Stayed for two nights at this delightful B&B which to be honest is under sold being called a B&B. My wife and I normally only stay in named hotels and this visit has changed our mind. We stayed in a room on the top floor and although compact it had all you could wish for. Clean and comfortable with all the little touches that is missing in chain hotels. The B&B is within walking distance to the renovated docks area with some lovely bars and restaurants but is a bus ride away from the city centre however a ten minute bus ride takes you into the heart of the city. The hosts are very welcoming and nothing seems too much trouble. We enjoyed the breakfast and as promised......have left our first review having used trip advisor for years and taken the benefits from others. I must say B&Bs like this should be considered before hotel chains as the owners are clearly doing things really well and are providing real value for money.

Dont hesitate in booking if your considering a break in Edinburgh.

My friend and I stayed at the Sheridan Guest house for 5 nights during our recent trip to Scotland. This was one of 8 B&B's we stayed in. We stayed 2 nights at the start of our trip and then 3 nights at the end. I really looked forward to coming back here. Rowena gives you such a warm welcome, she really runs a lovely place and her breakfast was definately the best we had all trip! What I really liked here though was the attention to detail, the rooms work so well because someone has thought about the layout and the 'little things'.

Although the Sheridan isn't central to the city, the buses are great. There are two buses that go past very frequently and it was no hassle for us to come back mid-afternoon to rest our legs before heading out again. I also caught the bus here from the airport and it was very straightforward and hassle free.

I'd definately recommend the Sheridan!
