An evening meal with friends at this local Japanese restaurant. Simple decor inside and generally clean and tidy.
There was a good choice on the menu with both meat-eaters and vegetarians catered for but explanation from the staff of the different types of dishes is recommended if you are not familiar with Japanese food. Some of the sushi looked amazing.
We had Temaki Veg and Edamame beans to start and three mains to share between us which was more than plenty. The food was tasty and well presented although the Katsudon was slightly disappointing - rather heavy and bland rice and pork dish. Mochi for dessert was a nice finish with green tea to accompany the meal.
The only negative was the waitress knocked over our drink on the table which in itself was not a problem for us and we did not make an issue of, but this was made up for by an extra portion of Mochi at no charge and a reduction in our bill which we did not ask for or expect, so thumbs up for customer service.
Overall a good experience and good value at about £15 per head. We would certainly return in the future to try some of the other dishes.
