My husband and I visited Edinburgh during the Fringe Celebration. We were close to activities, AND in a quiet, secure "home" for two nights.
Charlotte was kind, helpful, and made us feel so welcome.
Loved staying here. View of the castle is great. My wife even volunteered to do the dishes as the view from the window is of the castle. Just a few minutes walk to the Royal Mile and grocery, bars, stores all in less than 5 minutes walk.
If you have a car, as we did, you can park pretty close and work the system to minimize parking cost.
My 8 year old slept on the couch just fine and the 11 year old slept on a cot. Though not the most comfortable for her she did just fine. She's adult sized and not sure it was designed to handle adult size.
Master bed sagged toward the middle.
When we arrived there was milk, muffins, cereal, bread and butter available for us to eat. That was wonderful since we had driven in from Inverness and the snack kept us going for a few more minutes before dinner. The owner is so kind and helpful.
We would book this again in an instant! We loved the location and view. Any negatives could not outweigh the wonderful positives.

After agreeing our arrival time with Charlotte, the owner, she met us at the apartment and helped us settle in. Lots of lovely little thoughtful groceries were already in the kitchen, left by Charlotte. For the price it was a lovely little apartment for my family of three and a great base from which to explore Edinburgh. The apartment is very conveniently located to some awesome restaurants and shops in the Grassmarket area and a stones throw from all the major sights. We walked there from the train station and found it easily.
