“A delight!”
Reviewed 17 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

This place is amazing! Historic, romantic, beautiful, cosy, spotless, comfortable, warm, unique, quirky, just perfect, and that's without mentioning the brilliant location right on the royal mile, minutes walk from the castle, the witchery and other lovely romantic restaurants like the maison Bleue. Also just near the galleries, Mary King tour and the camera Obscura which was so good we went back again the next day to go back in the vortex tunnel. Thanks to our marvellous host Brian, best holiday ever and a perfect honeymoon destination.

“Great Location. Great place to stay.”
Reviewed 17 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

Castle Snug was really good. I would recommend it to friends. The location was great, and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We had a slight problem with the heating, but once we contacted the owner he got back to us straight away to arrange for it to be fixed. Great service. So many places within walking distance to see including the Castle. We bought tickets for the Tourist Buses, hop on hop off, one of the best ways to get around the City and to take in the local history.
So if there is availability at Castle Snug - Book it.

The Snug is the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh. Right in the heart of the old town, everything is at your fingertips. The Snug is clean, warm and comfortable which is needed after all the walking you will do around Edinburgh. Highly recommend this lovely place.

“We LOVED "The Snug"!”

Three friends from around the world came together to see Edinburgh, the Military Tattoo and the many presentations of The Fringe. The Castle Snug was a PERFECT location and setup for our long weekend. Edinburgh is at your door as soon as you open it! The weather was challenging and we would be very happy to grab some snacks, a bottle of wine and stay in. The Snug was clean, beautifully decorated/furnished and considering location in the center of everything, quieter than expected. The price was expected for time of year and location. Owner was very responsive to every inquiry prior to arrival and during our stay. Staying at The Castle Snug was one of the things that made our holiday special! We really enjoyed this property and would highly recommend it!!

“Gorgeous little place in perfect spot”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Fabulous spot for sightseeing, restaurants etc. as this place is just off the Royal Mile. Really well equipped with lovely bread, biscuits, milk, juice, butter, jam left for us on arrival. The nearby photo illusion attraction was loved by the teenager in our group, Holyrood is beautiful as is the current fashion of tudor times exhibition that is there at the moment. Museum of Scotland is fabulous and we rounded this off with tea at the Tower restaurant above and at £18.00 each it was well worth it, beautiful sandwiches and cakes, lovely service and a great view of the city.
