If you need a place that it is close to the mile This is it .
There is a steep cobbled street down to the flat but we did not find it hard. We use the. Station way most of the time brings you right into the thick of the action.
The flat is easy to use all you need even games only thing was that some of the guides were well out of date.
The shower has a step into it but I mange it.
Very clean very well stock in the kitchen tool department .The flat is well heated which we did not need .
We spent a great weekend at Atholl Brae near the end of november. The flat was really cosy and the fact that the car was out of the way for the weekend in the garage was good. The location is great and the whole family enjoyed doing the sights and the christmas market. If you want a good central location we can highly recommend this flat

The location of this apartment couldn't be more perfect - just off the Royal Mile, at the quieter end, and within easy walk to the castle, Waverly Station, the main shopping area and Holyrood Palace. The apartment itself is perfectly equipped and the owners have provided everything necessary for their visitors (including a bottle of champagne and some Scottish shortbread on arrival as a welcome package). There is also a car parking space although driving around Edinburgh is challenging, especially during festival time.
I would definitely stay here again when I return to Edinburgh. Thank you Elizabeth for a wonderful stay!
This apartment was perfect for our needs. Super convenient to the Royal Mile, comfortable, and extremely spacious. Liz was helpful in working with our arrival schedule as well as offering suggestions on where to eat and visit. This apartment is situated closer to Holyrood than the castle so definitely a plus for those who enjoy hiking to Arthur's Seat. This is definitely where we plan to stay if (when!) we ever return to Edinburgh.
