“You don't need anywhere else!”

I stayed in July with my son and would have no hesitation on booking again for next year. Being on the Royale Mile is pretty central to get anywhere in Edinburgh. The flat itself is easy to find and being met by the owner who kindly helped me up the flight of stairs with a heavy case was a bonus. In side it was very clean and had all the basics you need when using it as a base for going out and about. A lovely gesture also was the sweets on the table....I think I may have left them in the cupboard as they too tempting :-), the tea and coffee provided along with milk and biscuits. So a refreshing cuppa could be had before setting out to the shops for other supplies you need. In fact you could be just as happy staying in and only exploring The Royale Mile with so much in that street alone! I liked the fact it was so near the tour bus stops, a must for our holidays!
I have enthused to friends about the quality of my stay and the flat they may want to come with me next time lol

“Don't judge a book by its cover - good and comfortable stay”

When arrived was a little put off by the rubbish near entry, however is not this tenancy's, and like all of Edinburg, by the black look to stonework. However once inside everything is comfortable, lots of home touches, and modern appliances to allow a happy stay.
Location, location and price make this a good offer. Friendly owner and lots of shops, cafes, tourist buses, and sites all a quick walk.
We had glorious weather, and a fantastic stay here. Thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. The untidiness downstairs is temporary - the premises downstairs are being refurbished and they have just emptied their storage areas out on to the area at the rear; however, I am glad to hear that this did not detract from your stay with us and that you had such a good time in Edinburgh. We hope to see you again.

David met us at the apartment, ensured we had everything we needed, including a cot for our 12 year old granddaughter. He had many suggestions, good ones, for us and a 12 year old as far as sites to visit and places to eat.....and did I mention location....walking distance to everything, The Royal Mile, Arthur's Seat and of corse the castle. We would return here in a minute, we highly recommend it. Thanks!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review for us, and for your kind words. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit and found plenty of places to visit. There is so much to choose from, the hardest part about making recommendations is picking out the right things for the guest! We hope to see you again if you can make it back to Edinburgh.

“Excellent Flat & Location”

Loved this flat! It is located in Canongate near Palace of Holyrood and is just a short walk from so many historical sites such as Canongate Kirk, Holyrood, Calton Hill, Dynamic Earth, and Royal Mile. The flat was exceptionally clean and I felt safe there as a solo female traveler. There is a great pub (Kilderkin) right below the flat, but thankfully, the bedroom is on the back side of the building so it was quiet at night. The owner, Mr. Brown, thoughtfully provided tea, cereals, and a few snacks that were quite welcoming after a long train ride from London and also responded quickly to emails. The flat also had a full kitchen along with a washer/dryer, a nice small balcony, and comfortable bed. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it. There were so many nearby sites to visit and was a comfortable walk to many different areas. It was also just a 10-15 minute walk to Waverley Station for treks out of the city. Additionally, wifi was provided for free and worked perfectly throughout my stay. Mr. Brown also provided info for nearby restaurants, takeaway spots, and additional historical sites.
