Great little hotel bed tho was awful, bar was shut but great for parking & seeing the sites. Room was cozy & clean. Receptionist was friendly & some nice places to eat near by. Would go again everything was great apart from the bed & bar being closed.

Thank you for your review, and lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay and would return.
Can we please ask what was the problem with your bed. We try to accommodate all of our guests to the best of our ability and if there are problems we need to address then we appreciate your feed back to better accommodate future guests. We have recently added new memory foam toppers to our superior rooms as our new mattresses were too firm for some guests, if it is now a case of them being too soft then we are sorry for this, but hope that on your return we can rectify the problem

Friendly, clean and lovely small hotel. Attentive helpful staff. Great placing for a quick walk up Arthur’s seat and easy to get into the city for the main sights. Thanks for a lovely stay and making us feel welcome - will be coming back :)

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were greeted with a friendly girl in reception who was very informative and helpful. Our room (Colton) was spacious and warm, with extra heaters if needed. The bathroom was clean and modern. Tea and coffee was available in the room as was a flat screen TV. My only slight concern was the window should be double glazed as the wind was very noisy at night.

I can't say that I was impressed with this hotel, but, equally, it wasn't awful.
The positives are that the bed was very comfortable, there was a good supply of soft towels, toiletries & teabags etc. There was a hairdryer in the room & there was a good power shower. We had a room at the front &, despite being on a busy road, it was quiet. It was also a short walk to a main road where there were lots of good restaurants.
The negatives are that whilst the room was superficially clean, it needed a deep clean. The bistro which the hotel is advertised as having was shut for refurbishment. A real disappointment as we'd hoped to treat ourselves to dinner here. This also meant that there was no bar. Our room & bathroom were very pokey. It would be useful to have coat hooks on the door as there was no where to hang out wet coats. The hotel is a 30 minute walk to Prince's Street, & not 10, as it claims on their website. The fan for the showered is started by a switch which is high above the door to the bathroom. I couldn't reach this. Why not put it lower down? Also, there was a suitcase rack which you couldn't use due to the room being so small, & which we kept falling over. I'll guess we could have asked for this to be removed though.
I'm not sure I would stay here again, which is s shame, as it could have real potential.
