We had the set menu - just for ease and because we like to sample a variety of tastes. Everything was very good and there was certainly plenty for us. We even left some.

For our starters we sampled the chicken satay, vegetable skewers, Thai fish cakes and dim sum. Personally i'd have them all again but most definitely the dim sum was my favourite.

For the mains we had Chicken Green curry, Beef in oyster sauce and Sweet & Sour King Prawns all served with jasmine rice. Like i say it was all very tasty but we couldn't finish it all. Having said that we didn't leave much.

It's also a BYOB so you can choose your own drink - their corkage is a bit on the high side (it's £4 or £5?) but it still didn't break the bank! Very good value for money.

Had their Christmas menu for two - basically their set menu B but slightly more expensive! Excellent quality food, although very small portions. Starters of prawn tempura, fresh roasted duck spring roll (slightly odd as cold), scallops with chilli (lovely but small), fish cakes (odd to have 3 to be shared between 2 people), monkfish green curry (very tasty and lots of vegetables in it), crispy duck with tamarind and sirloin steak with pepper and garlic, together with a tiny portion of rice.

BYOB - with a charge of £2.50 per bottle.

Restaurant not very busy, so extremely shocked to be asked to leave when we'd finished our food and hadn't finished our drinks! Doesn't seem the right attitude, somehow! Told our booking was for 2 hours only - waiter extremely rude - I now see that quite a few people have commented on this! Didn't leave, though - finished our wine, during which time they still had 5 or 6 empty tables.

Doubt we'll go back due to staff attitude, but food was good.

In spite of reading some reviews about poor service we decided to give this small restaurant a try.....and are glad we did. It is located in Valleyfield Street, just off the Main Street in Tollcross near the Kings Theatre. The restaurant is compact and warm, and enough room between tables. The pre theatre menu is excellent value at £12.50 for two courses before 7pm and has a really good selection of starters and mains. Portion size was good and food was really tasty. With regards service, it is efficient, effective and unobtrusive with limited communication. Personally we would much rather have that, than service that is over the top and intrusive and working purely for a tip. And of course BYOB keeps the price down and lets you drink your own personal choice of wine. In summing up.....recommended for sure.

Went for the first time to this small Thai restaurant. The location is perfect if going to the Kings Theatre, a plus is it is BYOB. We were adeptly served very tasty food & it was very good value. On a rainy Edinburgh night it was lovely to be so handy for the theatre, and to have had a meal without any stress.
