This was my first hostel experience and I only stayed one night but it was exactly what I needed. A place to rest, shower and brush my teeth. The staff member I met and spoke to on the phone was friendly too.
Only a few minutes walk from Waverly train station and bus information office and a little bit further is the coach station.
On each bunk there are two plug sockets and another two sockets for USB charging so no worries if you've forgotten your USB adaptor. Plus a small reading light.
Free wifi, a locker with a key and a very cheap breakfast. Only 50p to rent a towel so you don't have to bother with carrying extra items around.
There's a dining room and a kitchen that closes at midnight and there are plenty of near-by places to buy ingredients or take-aways.
Hostels aren't great if you're a light sleeper as people may need to leave/come in at various times. However, this isn't a "party hostel." People tend to try to be quiet an respectful and there was no loud noise.More
