Stumbled upon this place last week and thought it was fantastic. The sushi was sooo good and the salmon was really fresh, wouldn't be surprised if they'd caught it that morning.

The waitresses were friendly and the restaurant had a lovely, homely feel to it. Would love to try more of the menu.

The menu is quite restricted. Very classic sushi offer with no fancy options or anything that would catch your eye. Also most of it is only in Japanese so we had to google quite a lot of the meals. Bento boxes or sushi platters without explanation of what's actually in them. That said, the sushi tasted very good and was fresh. A little pricey. One of us had a pork katsu and that was really good, the sauce was delicious.
The place has little charm, its quite bare and a little cold.

Tried this place as we wanted to avoid a chain. Wished we'd gone almost anywhere else. The service was chaotic. There were people queuing to get in and leaving because the staff didn't clear tables. We had to wait ages to be served, the food then took ages and when it arrived the portions (noodles and tempura vegetables) were starter/sized and greasy.
We also had to wait an age to pay (which also meant people were queuing and leaving).
I pointed out that there was no loo roll in the toilet. No one replenished it and I had to warn another customer headed that way of the shortage!
It was only in finally leaving that my daughter noticed a sign advertising for a new chef!

Not particularly impressed to be told there was no tofu (10 minutes after ordering) and for the waitress to bem frankly, disbelieving, that someone didn't eat meat or fish and to be unable to suggest a vegetarian alternative. Ended up having to suggest noodles and vegetables as a possibility. Can't comment personally on the quality of the canivorous option (a bunch of dishes for £30 but my companions said it was expensive for what it was.

It didn't partcularly bother me but the wifi didn't work so bear in mind if that's important to you
