Description: Bisque is fast gaining a reputation as one of the best restaurants in Edinburgh. Bisque is the stylish new bar and brasserie located in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh. Situated overlooking Bruntsfield Links park, the restaurant, bar and brasserie can be found just a few minutes walk from the Kings Theatre. We're here to serve you from early to late every day. Get what you want, when you want it at a pace to suit you. Judging by some of our customer reviews, Bisque is already one of peoples' favourite Edinburgh restaurants and places to dine with family or friends. Bisque offers a varied menu of light dishes to a full menu. The restaurant is contemporary in style and offers seasonal menus of locally sourced food. We also have a great kids menu on offer for those looking for a more family friendly restaurant. Looking for an Edinburgh bar with a difference? Want to relax? Well you'll feel at home in our comfortable booths relaxing with the newspapers or watching the latest Sports on widescreen TV. We've even got free wireless internet and a well stocked bar with beers and wines from all the main regions. Drop in and chill out.

“Surprise Dinner”

Ate with friends to celebrate my birthday.
Excellent set menu for 2 or 3 courses.
Staff great, and a very relaxing night enjoyed by us all.
Only downside was staff member who was in a real hurry to usher us out at closing time......without asking if we were residents!!!

Far better than your average restaurant brasserie, this served tasty food at a fair price, from friendly staff.

“Not the best”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 January 2012

The bread was dry and hard, the butter too cold. The nacho starter was poor value and mezze starters were both poor value Both my friend and i ordered lamb shank and this was barely cooked, difficult to get off the bone and chewy. I was in a party of ten and you could not fault the service. Just could have been better. The fact it was not at all busy on a Saturday evening says it all. To top it all our bill was wrong, changing us for drinks and food we did not have. It would have been easy for us to not notice that.....

Thank you for your feedback following your recent dinner in Bisque Brasserie. I really appreciate customer comments on our food and service and acknowledge that it takes up your time to do this. The experience that you describe is simply unacceptable for which I sincerely apologise. There is no excuse for us not achieving an excellent standard of food and service every time....something which we do day after day on a regular basis. Something has gone wrong on the night of your visit and I'd like the opportunity to prove that what you experienced is not our normal standard. I hope that you will give us a second chance by contacting Garry Field, General Manager. Thank you again for your feedback. I apologise.

“Excellent food, wonderful service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 January 2012

We had several very good meals at Bisque in early October 2011 while staying at the Bruntsfield Hotel. In addition, we visited the bar each night to recuperate after a full day's sightseeing in Edinburgh. The wait and bar staff remembered us each time and went out of their way to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. We noticed that local people were patronizing the restaurant and bar as well; that says a lot for an establishment.
