Located right off the A92 near Arbroath Road is this Premier Inn property. Our family of 4 enjoyed 4 nights of restful sleep, while being so close to friends we were visiting. It provided a great central location to friend's home, wedding venue, eateries, etc.

We rented 2 rooms for our family of four. Our beds were very comfortable, and both of our rooms were very clean! Such comfy pilows, and big soft towels are in their bathrooms. The shower was strong, and was great at the end of the day. (Though we wished washcloths were provided, this was the only negative on this property. Even though we were right off the A92, we never heard the road noise, day or night. Even with the parking lot right next to our first floor room, our night's sleep was quiet and uninterrupted.

The staff at reception were so nice and helpful every day. They do request that when you leave your room in the day or the night, that you drop off your key. That way it is never misplaced while you are gone. Just let reception know you have returned, and you have your key ready to be handed to you. The room's tv's and their many channels were fun to choose from and explore for viewing. So many choices. This property was perfect for our visit. Both of our rooms had ample space for our suitcases, carry-ons, and golf clubs, as well as us--the guests!

Enjoy a couple of eateries across the parking lot, as well as the garden shop and it's restaurant as well. All of these are in walking distance.

This hotel property offered us a great night's sleep, as well as a great location for the many activities we had planned in the local area.

The vast majority of my stays away involve nights in various premier inns across the country. The thing I like with Premier in is you generally know what you are going to get. The Premier Inn at Monifeith is no exception when it comes to the fantastic staff who are always pleasant and never ever forget to great you with a smile.

Where this Premier in is let down is by its need for a revamp. The rooms are starting to show their age and the lack of proper air conditioning (a fan is provided) exacerbates the point. TVs are small and there are a limited number of sockets which in this day in age when everything needs to be charged is just not enough especially in a family room. There is excessive noise coming from people walking on the floors upstairs and even in our own downstairs room the boards creaked with every step.

On the plus side the hotel is in a decent enough location for Dundee (Provided you have a car) being approx 15 min by car. The restaurant next door is where you get the breakfast which is the standard PI breakfast although this time I was disappointed that they were missing Black Pudding (A minor fault). For evening meals it is the same Brewers Fayre menu that you get in all their chain (albeit they change the name of the items depending on what brand you happen to go into.

If I was stuck and the price was cheap I would stay again but otherwise, I think I would choose another of their many locations in Dundee
.

Room Tip: Try to get upper floor otherwise you will hear all footsteps above you.

The place is very dated a my phone has a bigger screen than what was supplied. I would recommend to stay at the one in Dundee. I was woke up at 3am with the creaking floors outside the room and the place needs an upgrade.

Have visited here 3 times and our grandsons love staying here, they like the soft play area attached to the restaurant and the staff make you all feel very welcome. It’s also great to see the same staff faces every year so they must enjoy working there too.
