Thanks for your review . Glad you enjoyed your Easter weekend . Yes long valley / river walks right from town centre . Plenty choice in evening for eating out or a glass of wine . All within yards of cottage . Great shops too and supermarkets within short minutes walk .

“Comfortable cottage in ideal location”
Reviewed 15 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Having endured blizzard conditions on the road to Peebles, it was great to enter the cottage and find it all so welcoming. We especially liked the added extra treats, as well as abundantly clear instructions on how to operate household items in this well appointed residence.

No problems as far as hot water is concerned, with both bath and shower functioning well and having rented numerous properties at home and abroad over the years, this probably has the most comfortable bed we've slept in yet.

Lots to do in this gateway to the Borders, especially shopping, if your that way minded, with good local hostelries too, for pub grub and more.

It was particularly cold and the log fire was a welcome bonus to the central heating. One tip however - take owner Caroline's advice and buy logs from the hardware shop. We made the mistake of purchasing them from a local garage. Bear Grylls would have done well to get these to light.

Didn't stop us having a great time though.

“Immaculate and cosy”
Reviewed 12 November 2016 for a stay in November 2016

Immaculately kept cosy cottage. Plenty of kitchen utensils if you're eating in, although we opted for eating at the Tontine which was good. Comfortable bed (we don't like soggy) and plenty of good DVDs if you want a night in. Ideally located right in the centre of Peebles, down a close and very quiet. You can walk from the cottage straight into the hills in a number of directions, which was at we wanted as we travelled from Edinburgh on the bus.

“Couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay”
Reviewed 7 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

Our family (me, my husband, and our teenage son) recently spent 4 nights at Tweed Cottage. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay - the accomdations were perfect! Comfortable beds, modern updates, wifi, a great selection of movies, linens and soaps supplied, a washing machine, and thoughtful touches throughout (The welcome basket of treats and the milk in the fridge were such a welcomed suprise!) The notes about the cottage and the surrounding area were helpful too. And the location - can't be beat! The carpark is just a short walk away, restaurants and shops all right outside the door. The owner was wonderful to work with as we planned our vacation. Peebles is a lovely town and we can't wait to return. And when we do (not if!) we will definitely book our stay at Tweed Cottage. A great value for wonderful accomodations!
