Close to Peebles and the river tweed and with the John Buchan Way literally on the door step makes this location ideal for the fit and active who want to immerse themselves in the hilly borders countryside.
The cottage itself has all the amenities one would require after a long walk in the countryside or cycling the 7 stanes with a log burner to keep you warm
This is a great place to stay.
Echo friendly, log burner, chickens in the back yard this place is great to get away from it all. The rooms are a good size, 3 double beds and there is plenty of space in the living room to camp on the floor.
Clean, bright and open plan living area. Two good size bathrooms. The location is about a five minute drive out of town and out of the back of the properties are some good walks.
The only one draw back is there are no curtains...so in the summer expect an early wake up call.
Really lovely house with everything you need for a great holiday. Views were gorgeous and watching the many birds which frequent the garden was a real pleasure. About a 20 minute walk from Peebles centre so easy for shopping and eating out. Very comfortable beds and a great shower.
Just back from a weekend celebrating my 40th with 5 other people. This place is just perfec for a gathering! It says its only has 2 double rooms and 1 single bedroom but the single can be made up to a double on request. It's a little bit smaller than the double rooms but still plenty of space. Mike is just FANTASTIC! He makes you feel so welcome and happy to help. It's £6 for a taxi down into peebles. Loads of fantastic restaurants and pubs to choose from or stay in and have takeaway delivered. Full size fridge and freezers all mod cons. Lovely private garden with walks up the hills straight from the garden. Only think us girls missed was a mirror in the double bedrooms so we could see when we straitened our hair.lol
Was soo cozy with lots of logs and so relaxing. Highly recommended Tantah croft. We will be back again soon.
The property lies on the edge of Peebles, 3 minute drive from the High Street. Forrest and hill walks are accessible from the back garden, ideal for dog owners and hikers, as one can start a day's walk from the kitchen, through the garden, with miles and miles of pure Scottish Air.
Tantah is cosy and warm, with plenty of logs for the wood burners. It is also spacious and comfortable in the event of bad weather, with loads of stuff like TV, with sat connection, iphone music and video player, and board games and books.
Spacious comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms made our stay even better.
Would we stay here again? YES as we are now working out dates for the autumn.
