Description: Osso is an excellent contemporary style restaurant adjacent to the High street in Peebles. At night focuses more on three course Dinner, during the day is more 'laid back' and cafe style. Has won awards.

Sunday afternoon trip to the borders, stopped in sunny Peebles for a stroll and a coffee. Walked the length of the main street and decided to pop into Osso for a coffee.
To be totally honest it’s only having now read TripAdvisor, after the fact, that I see it’s got a bit of “form” as a venue. We had previously visited some time ago when it was probably under different ownership, we called in today with no preconceptions. And we found it most satisfactory, nice coffee; hot chocolate; scones and that triple-decker-French Toast-bacon-fried egg combo (sorry can’t remember what it was called) suited my son’s appetite no end.
Friendly and efficient staff and reasonably priced. Rather there than the Costa Coffee shop down the road.
Would definitely think about a return visit.

Visited here after hearing many great things and weren’t disappointed. We had seen the owner on Great British Menu and had wanted to visit for a long time and it was worth the wait.
Beautifully cooked food with lovely wine to match. Service was outstanding and would highly recommend. We will be back!

The restaurant was full but the service was still impeccable. We had a brilliant dining experience. The food was very good.

We visited Osso with friends after seeing Ally on GBM. Unfortunately he wasn’t working the night we were there but the food served was exceptional. The waiter who served us was very friendly and gave us good advice for choices. Well worth a visit if in the area

Hadn’t visited Peebles in a while & opted to eat here on our way to an overnight at Stobo. Yet again, it was fantastic.

We chose mushroom soup & bacon sandwich combo (to die for), lentil soup, mac & cheese & scrambled eggs on toast. Every dish was very very good & very reasonably priced. Service from the lovely ladies was very good too. Thinking of driving down from Edinburgh to return tomorrow with my mum.
