“Lovely Break”
Reviewed 29 February 2012

Recently stayed overnight at the hotel which is close to Inverary right on the lochside. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable although found the lighting a bit dim. We enjoyed a swim in the lovely pool and then relaxed in the jacuzzi. We also spent a short time in the steamroom and sauna.
It has a nice bar with comfy couches and lovely views of the loch. Pity about the drizzle. The evening meal was excellent and the waiters very friendly and efficient. There was a big choice at breakfast and again the service was first class.
On the whole we had a lovely break and would certainly recommend this hotel preferably in the summer.

My husband and I stayed at the Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa as a belated Valentine's treat. We were really hoping for something lovely as we know the area is stunning and we wanted a cosy, friendly and great hotel to make the stay complete. We were not disappointed.

The hotel is located just through the town of Inverary and has stunning views over the Loch. We were greeted at reception with a smile and checked in very efficiently. We were allocated the Lagavulin Suite which was beautiful. A large and spacious Junior Suite room with amazing views, ensuite with roll top bath and sweet 'reading seat' at the window so you can enjoy a glass of Champagne whilst over looking the Loch.

The hotel has a nice bar area which is comfortable and cosy. Although we did not use it, there is a Spa and also a swimming pool and even an outdoor hot tub! We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was excellent. There is a large amount of seafood and fish on the menu due to the area and I would recommend taking advantage of this. I had langoustine to start which was lovely. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice - there was a comfortable buzz about the place creating a nice relaxed ambience.

We only stayed for one night but I'd happily return and recommend this hotel for one night getaways or long relaxing weekends. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and well kept and the setting really can't be beaten.

Room Tip: If you can request a Loch facing suite this will make your stay really special.

My husband and myself spent a lovely night at this Hotel. Our room ( a standard double) was very comfortable and had a well stocked tray of tea and coffee The en suite bathroom was very clean and had a good array of toiletries.. Dinner was excellent. Food of a very high standard, well cooked and presented. Waiting staff very efficient. Breakfast had good selection although the cinnamon French toast and bacon could have been hotter. No complaints and good value for money.

This is the first review I have posted on tripadvisor. My mum and I stayed at the Hotel on Monday night as a girly treat before my Wedding on 3/3/12. I was looking for a relaxing break to get away from all the stress of Wedding planning. I chose the Freedom Spa Break which included a 30-min De-stressing back/neck and shoulder massage, 30-min Cleansing Facial and mini manicure. We chose to upgrade to a Junior Suite which included a half bottle of Champagne per person. We were not disappointed. On arrival, the Reception Staff were very friendly and Mark went out of his way to make sure our room was ready for us, even although we were early. We ordered a drink and began to relax in the very spacious and laid-back Lounge area, full of comfy leather sofas. We made our way to our room - the very sumptuous Lagavullin - and couldn't believe our luck!! The room was beautiful - fabulous loch views and a lovely window seat to relax and unwind. The Bathroom was also beautiful with a lovely roll-top bath and spacious shower. We made our way downstairs for our Spa treatments. Again, we couldn't believe our luck when we realised that the the therapists used Elemis products, which in itself is a real treat!! Our thanks to all the girls who made us feel very special and pampered!! The Massage chair was also a real treat. We had a dip in the pool and used the Sauna, Steamroom and Spa pool, all of which were just lovely. We returned to our suite extremely chilled out and enjoyed a few glasses of Champagne (Poilvert Jacques, highly recommended!!) whilst sitting in the window seat, enjoying the beautiful sunset over the Loch, before getting ready for dinner. Dinner was another amazing experience. It was just beautiful and far exceeded our expectations!! Our compliments to Chef Dougie and Sous Chef Chris - the whole meal was fabulous. We were not rushed in any way and felt very well looked after. Our thanks also to Duty Manager Jordan who looked after us in the Lounge after dinner! I felt I had to post a review as I did a lot of research using tripadvisor prior to booking our break - some of the reviews were incredulous. Both myself and my mum are experienced travellers - we will be back!!

Donna & Janice

Room Tip: Recommend rooms with Loch view - if possible, go for Lagavullin!!

The loch Fyne hotel is fantastic. The food, staff, pool and staff make this hotel great. Deserves more than its 3 star rating.

Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. They are friendly but not in your face.

Can't praise this hotel enough.
