The 1562 Medal course is the fifth oldest golf course in the world and is a great course to play. It has been used as an Open qualifying course. For people who want a shorter , but still challenging course, there is the Brookfield course alongside the medal course.
There courses are well Roth a visit for keen golfers.

If you have the opportunity then you have to play the medal course . Fantastic holes, very challenging if there is wind ( and there are).

Played Medal Course, nice layout, not a lot of wind so probably played easier than usual, had twosome pushing us (not in a bad way) which made the day enjoyable as we played in 3 hours like true Scots. Wonderful little pub, had 3 ales with Ron, Frances, and Karen, the bartender, we stayed really late. Wonderful people, friendly and helpful, would play there again anytime!

The Broomfield Course at Montrose Golf Links is a relatively short course but still a great test of golf. It can be played as a full 18 course but also as 2 separate 9 holes, and is ideal for those who have not time to play 18 holes. It is also ideal for those starting golf and for higher handicappers.
