This is our 2nd stay at this beautiful apartment and have booked again for next year!! The apartment is modern, very clean, spacious & has everything you need. The view is fantastic. Less than a minute to the park & 2 to the beach which is all we need for a chilled out holiday! There is plenty places in Banff to eat( info in welcome folder) a good sized supermarket too.Poor signal on mobile but there is a phone in apartment so if you need someone to contact you they can. WiFi is available.... Owner Diane is very helpful & accommodating! Highly recommend The Beaches ☺
I'm with Vodafone and had no signal. This suited me fine because it's quite nice to be off the radar. But this was pretty common for me around most of Scotland anyway! The house does have wifi - so if you're desperate to get on FB or check your emails, you still can. The wifi was good - had no trouble connecting and it didn't drop out at all. Connection was consistent throughout the house.
Lovely house, a stone's throw away from the lovely sandy beach. It's like a home away form home. It has all the things you would need. The area is quiet and tranquil - perfect for a break away.
The house has lovely views of the beach. It's spacious and comfortable. The main bedroom is quite large and has a king size bed. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. The other room has two single beds. Bathroom has a shower (no bath). There isn't a power point for electric toothbrushes/shavers. If you need this, you may need to bring a special plug adaptor with you. The hairdryer provided is decent. Shower pressure was also decent.
The house was clean and tidy throughout. Shops are a ten minute drive away and whilst I would strongly recommend you have a car, there are bus stops nearby that run half hourly depending on the day and time. There's also a really nice play area for children at the back of the house on the green.
Didn't get to meet Diane in person, but she always replied to emails and texts quickly. Arrangements were made to get the house keys to us. There's a useful folder in the house with her contact details, and useful information re: shops, things to do/see and wifi code etc. Didn't have to contact Diane at all during our stay - everything in the house is well thought out for visitors.
Would have loved to have stayed in the house longer. I will definitely come back.

This is a super house to stay in for exploring a beautiful part of Scotland. I had my daughter aged 8y so the location of the house was fantastic. I also had my mum and dad in their eighties....we were lucky with the weather and at night we just wanted to sit in the back garden to watch the world go by. Just a little thing, but if this was my home I would get patio doors to allow the beautiful view to
come into your home. Yes, you could climb out of the window to sit in the little terrace however my mum and dad could not manage this at their age and with their legs. Your home is lovely and had everything else but after a busy day trying to please all age groups it would have been wonderful to open patio doors and sit outside. And take in that amazing view....
Stayed for four nights in May and enjoyed our stay.
The apartment was nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and the kuitchen very well equipped.
The views are very nice, especially the sunsets are lovely.
We were a bit unhappy about the view being interrupted by the caravan park on the left side and we felt a bit "on display" at first, but got used to it very quickly, so didn't mind anymore, there was no noise from the caravans, and the little shop on site came in handy for some essentials.
The beach is right on the doorstep, which was lovely, sadly it was a very cold May so we couldn't make as much use of it a we had hoped.
There is a children's playground that is great for families. I suppose it might get a bit noisy when the weather is nice, but we didn't feel disturbed.
Close by are a number of nice restaurants, and the Glenglasaugh distillery is well worth a visit (tip: try the whisky honey on a crumpet, it's to die for!).
Nice trip out is Cullen, home of the Cullen skink, best we ever had!
There was an issue with the door lock, which was dealt with by the owner very quickly, but it put a bit of a damper on our plans for the day.
Downside for us was that there was no mobile reception, the landline could only be used for incoming calls, so it was difficult to contact the owner.
