Have stayed at this hotel a few times, we always get a lovely welcome at Reception, sorry I’ve forgotten your name.There were some new faces in the diningroom but still faces we remember from before.
A big thank you to Lana who looks after our room and remembers we prefer still water, she does a sterling job keeping the rooms slick & span. Chef Chubba ( excusing my spelling) he knows just how to cook my omelette at breakfast and if he’s in the dinning room he is always smiling. Alan in the bar is always willing to answer queries and very good at his job

Room tip: Rooms on second in the premium section is very spacious

Location is a about 20 mins from city centre - great parking. Rooms were spacious and of a decent standard. Perhaps lacking some tlc in some places . Now comes the breakfast! Wow what a disaster -the food eg sausages and bacon had obv been sitting for hours. Dried out and very unappealing. Beans had a dead insect in them - when reported, a very similar (same ??) pot of beans came out minus the insect ! No offer of fresh sausages or bacon. No offer of bill reduction. Advice - walk 20mins and get a safe breakfast in town !

We had 2 premium rooms booked here and both the rooms were very spacious. 1 room 245 was light and airy with separate seating area, it was towards the back of the hotel. Our other room 248 was facing Asda and amusement park, but we still had a Seaview, hotel was very well situated, not far from my son's home. We had a sofa bed for my teenager and also a huge bed with plenty of room to still move around. Very clean with towels and bedlinen changed each day. Breakfast was a buffet style with lots of choice for everyone, all served hot and fresh. On one evening we ate in the restaurant and this is why I only awarded 4/5 instead of 5/5. Restaurant opened at 630 and we were booked for 7pm. On arrival we were told no fish and chips, no sirloin steak and only 1 fillet steak left. So they'd ran out of things when restaurant had just opened.
We were seated 30 minutes before we were even asked about drinks.From first sitting down to serving food was 1.5 hours. My husband ordered a starter which came at the same time as his main course, some of our party asked for pints of coke but were served halves. When asked if it was a pint she said yes they were pints. I asked another waitress if they were halves or pints she said halves and would change our bill accordingly. We ordered more drinks and requested pints, the original waitress came and slammed down each drink and sarcastically said "pints"
She then walked away to another waitress and imitated what she'd just done slamming down of drinks stating pints. They both looked over to our table of 7 and sniggered. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL. Certainly not the kind of treatment you expect from such a hotel as this. Obviously no tip was left.
It was such a shame this happened because if you asked our group what they most remember from the weekend, they said fab hotel but the bad restaurent service on the Saturday night.

Had a great stay here at a bargain price thanks to a sale for Hilton Honours members. We were in a huge room in the platinum club annexe, nice and quiet and very comfortable. Fantastic cookies as always at Doubletree and a few wee complimentary treats in the minibar. Lovely staff throughout the hotel. Reasonably priced drinks in a nice bar setting and a great choice at the breakfast buffet. We’ve previously stayed at the Doubletree Treetops in Aberdeen but much preferred this hotel and would come back.

Arrived late after work had booked a SuperKing platinum room with sea view.

Absolutely amazing room. Robe and slippers too. Including soft drinks mini bar.
Fantastic location. Excellent staff. And a brilliant room. Free cookies on arrival. Breakfast lots of selection. Would def book again no problem. Great hotel.
