We had a wonderful week at Cobblers Cottage. On arrival there was a lovely welcome basket with homemade bread etc. The cottage is equipped with everything you might need. There is a lovely grassed play area for the children to run around, a bbq area with seating. Very quiet area but the children can make as much noise as they like. Occasionally we would see the cows and calves in the adjoining field, close but not to close, the children loved the cows. Our hosts were great and made some great suggestions on things to do etc, nothing was to much trouble. Would we stay there again..... We sure would.
This was our second visit. Once again the cottage did not disappoint. The 'welcome basket' was wonderful and its contents consumed with delight. Margaret and Eamon were the perfect hosts, very approachable and responding quickly to any queries we had. On this stay, we used the cottage as a base for visits to the province's major cities and other locations. It served us well and allowed us to investigate alternative, scenic routes to our destinations. On the shortlist for a future visit? Definitely!
This had been my second time at the cottage. Decided to have a girly weekend and I knew cobblers would have been perfect for us. Needless to say it didn't disappoint. Margaret and Eamon have a hidden gem and how lovely it is for them to be able to share a part of their family history with us. Not only is Margaret so welcoming... she makes life so much easier by having thought out so many details which is sometimes impossible to remember. The hamper is also a lovely gesture with freshly homemade bread. The information booklet is also full of a range of things from local chip shops to tourist hotspots. However I really enjoy spending time in the cottage and making my own fun... we were on our holidays so it was important to relax also. Perfect spot for doing this and in colder nights you have endless supply of peat, blocks etc for the wood burning stove. One of my favourite places and will definately be back very soon
I stayed here with my husband, an 18mth old and two dogs and we all had a great time. We were greeted with a lovely welcome basket of goodies including home made soda bread and butter which was quickly devoured. Also it was my husbands 40th birthday and we had kindly been left a card and a box of chocolates. Little touches like this make all the difference. The cottage is really quaint and has a homely feel to it. The grassy area at the front was ideal for both the dogs and an active toddler. The location is great for attractions like the Ulster American Folk Park. We would definitely stay again as it met all our needs and more.
