We had a lovely relaxing stay at the Beech Hill Country House Hotel. The service and food were excellent and we really appreciated the complimentary upgrade to a suite. We had an excellent dinner on the Saturday evening. We hope to be back soon!

My husband and i are just back from a weekend stay at the Beech Hil Hotel, we didn't want to leave! From the moment we arrived until we left we don't have 1 complaint. Ashleigh on reception is the most pleasant receptionist we have come across, she made sure we knew exactly were everything was and walked us to our room making sure we were happy with everything. The bar area is gorgeous and so cozy with two fires either end of the room were you can sit in a totally relaxed atmosphere. The staff can't do enough for you and are all very pleasant, we wanted to make a few changes to our meal which was done with no problem at all, the food was gorgeous, the other guests were also commenting on what a great meal they had. This will be our new home away from home,we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: we stayed in room 29 which had a gorgeous bath in the corner and a massive bed which you could get lost in.

Stayed overnight last night and it was fantastic. Arrived just after 2pm and once we where booked in we had a cold but beautiful walk around the grounds only to come inside and sit by the fire in the lounge with and Irish Coffee.... just heaven. We then went to our room and just lay on the bed relaxing... had a shower and down for dinner.
The meal was excellent and the home made bread is to die for. We then sat relaxing in the lounge again chatting to other residents.
The bedroom is so big, and comfortable and above all warm and cosy. The bed is massive and so comfortable. Had a brilliant nights sleep.
Down for breakfast in the morning and WOW what a start to the day.

We have stayed here before a few times and I know this wont be our last. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and nothing is a problem for them and the hotel is spotless, spacious and so warm and comfortable and homely.

Thank you to Patsy, Connor, Brenda and all the staff. Hope to see you again before long .

Room Tip: We stayed in room 31 and it is a beautiful suite, so quiet and warm and cosy.

What a wonderful experience we had once more staying in the peace and tranquility of the Beech Hill. Just a short drive to the historic Derry city center and yet the Beech Hill is a golden nugget of history it's self. Four new bedrooms have been added since our last visit and they are of amazing quality fitting of the Beech Hill. Great to see the great efforts made to have a room specially designed for every need of wheelchair users, including a wet room.
Each night dinner was superb with a wide selection of locally produced ingredients of the highest standard served by the most friendly and attentive staff.
The friendly welcome and interaction all the guests received from the staff was a common conversation point in the lounge after dinner with everyone highly delighted with the homely feel of this luxurious family hotel.
The gardens in early spring were covered in snowdrops and they are very like the Beech Hill, small but exceptionally beautiful.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 31 which is a junior suite with a beautiful view over the gardens and waterwheel.

Just back from an only too short overnight stay at this wonderful hotel - just a few minutes drive from the city centre. I can't speak too highly of the staff - from the fantastic welcome to the absolutely impeccable service in the lounge and restaurant. I travelled with my wife and small son and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotless, very spacious with a huge king size bed for us and a separate single for my son. Tea and coffee was supplied, and the room had a good wi-fi signal and a large flatscreen TV. The ensuite was roomy, well stocked and with the most wonderful shower I've experienced in many a day. The hotel oozes a wonderful, warm ambiance and is steeped in history - US readers may wish to note that in particular it celebrates its linkage with the US Marines who were based here for several years during WW2. Indeed it has hosted many famous Americans over the years including the Clintons, JFK and even Will Ferrell. Anyone researching their family tree will find the "Marines Lounge" a veritable treasure trove of information.

The hotel also arranged a walking tour around the city walls with McCrossan tours. Our guide Dermot was fantastic - he very quickly built a rapport with our small group - engaging as well with our nine year old throughout - and he was a mine of fascinating information throughout the hour long walk (that was at a leisurely pace so is suitable for all). His personal reflections were insightful, balanced and added significantly to all the factual data. The cost of only £4 per head includes a cup of tea/coffee at the end. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting the city.

On a final note, I cannot finish without mentioning the food in the restaurant. Quite simply, it was superb for both presentation and quality - in conjunction with the impeccable service and perfect timing for each course, it was undoubtedly Michelin star standard.

In all, thanks to all the staff for looking after us so well - we will certainly be back.
