“Well equipped cottage in remote location”

The cottage is well equipped with all you are likely to need. It is in a remote location with no shops, bars, restaurants etc. within easy walking distance. This may not suit everyone.
The cottage interior needs some TLC and the beds need new mattresses, they were very uncomfortable. Otherwise it was fine.
We enjoyed our few days in Northern Ireland. The coast is beautiful and there are lots of lovely walks.

I absolutely adored this cottage,it is old and the layout maybe a wee bit awkward but it is an absolute gem.it is remote enough to be peaceful, yet the nearest town is less than a ten minute drive away.rabbits are in the next field and come into the garden.you can hear the stream nearby.the only issues we had were that the parking was a bit awkward as it is a narrow country road and hard to know when traffic is coming.the bathroom needed a bit of minor attention and the sitting room smelt very smoky because of the open fire.absolutely none of those things would stop me from booking this dreamy cottage again

“I would go back not only because of the beautiful cottage and location but because the owner really values her guests!”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The cottage is quaint, well equipped and ideally placed outside of Ballycastle. You would not be disappointed staying here. Moira is without doubt the most compassionate and client centred cottage owner I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I think it would make an ideal winter getaway also. Thanks, Moira.

Lovely cottage and open fires - we perhaps could have done with a small axe to chop the logs a bit smaller as we tended to use the fire in the lounge which has a smaller grate than the one in the dining room. Other than that we really enjoyed the fire, using turf which smells so wonderful, I can almost still smell it. The bed was very comfortable and lovely crisp bedding and fluffy white towels made it feel quite luxurious. Plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of information about the area with leaflets and maps there to browse through. A bookcase with books to suit a wide variety of reader and a stack of DVD's ( which I thought was brilliant even though I dont personally watch films), a pack of playing cards and paper and pens available, so it really was a well equipped place. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stream babbling when sat outside and feeding the ponies every morning was delightful. We had a wonderful week visiting castles, coastline and various towns and villages and we attended the Lammas fair which was full of sights and sounds.
