“I would go back not only because of the beautiful cottage and location but because the owner really values her guests!”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The cottage is quaint, well equipped and ideally placed outside of Ballycastle. You would not be disappointed staying here. Moira is without doubt the most compassionate and client centred cottage owner I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I think it would make an ideal winter getaway also. Thanks, Moira.

“Peaceful”
Reviewed 2 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

Lovely cottage and open fires - we perhaps could have done with a small axe to chop the logs a bit smaller as we tended to use the fire in the lounge which has a smaller grate than the one in the dining room. Other than that we really enjoyed the fire, using turf which smells so wonderful, I can almost still smell it. The bed was very comfortable and lovely crisp bedding and fluffy white towels made it feel quite luxurious. Plenty of kitchen equipment and lots of information about the area with leaflets and maps there to browse through. A bookcase with books to suit a wide variety of reader and a stack of DVD's ( which I thought was brilliant even though I dont personally watch films), a pack of playing cards and paper and pens available, so it really was a well equipped place. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to the stream babbling when sat outside and feeding the ponies every morning was delightful. We had a wonderful week visiting castles, coastline and various towns and villages and we attended the Lammas fair which was full of sights and sounds.

“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed 18 February 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We stayed there early January for a weekend gateaway and found the cottage extremely cosy and well equipped. The landscape around the cottage was beautiful and we made very good use of the fireplace. We had an issue with the heating on the first night but Moira was extremely helpful in getting the problem resolved very quickly. On the whole an extremely relaxing and comfortable stay and will definitely remember it for our next Northern Ireland trip.

“Perfect cottage!”
Reviewed 20 January 2013 for a stay in July 2011

We stayed at Breen Cottage for 5 days in the summer of 2011 and absolutely loved it. We are from Canada but setting up the rental was a breeze. Moira was so lovely and easy to deal with we had no concerns. When we arrived at the cottage we were shocked that it was even nicer than in the photos. Beautiful surroundings and easy access to the tourist sights of Northern Ireland. There were also small friendly ponies in the surrounding field which loved being fed carrots and would greet us when we came back at the end of each day. They were so cute. All the ammendies you could need were available in the cottage. And the grocery store was nearby for food. It was warm, cosy and perfect. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip.
