“The best city in Northern Ireland”
Reviewed 25 October 2009

Belfast is quaint, traditional, modern, and unimaginable all at once. The people are welcoming, informative, friendly, and always eager to tell a story or suggest a great pub! The tour of the murals is a must for any Belfast traveller and can be visited by foot, cab, or self drive - caution is given to late day touring in these regions due to continued tension betwixt communities.

The Europa is gorgeous, impressive, and just a block from the Opera House - which is a must see as well. And whilst in the neighborhood do step across the street to have a pint and maybe a bite in The Crown Liquor Saloon; it's like walking into history. By all means if Belfast is on your tour list you must see these buildings and take a moment to learn the history behind them - it won't be regretted.

If the nightlife is something you seek, take a journey to The Odyssey which is home to several pubs, clubs, places to eat, and other fun things to do - maybe take in a show while you're there!

Definitely take the time to visit the Titanic memorial and stroll past the Laganside Big Fish with scales of history all over it's body.

Belfast certainly isn't a one-time visit but if you can only go one time (at least for awhile) make sure you don't miss these places. You'll be left with a feeling of awe at the beauty and history that Belfast holds.

“Ireland's Hidden Gem”

Belfast is a purely wonderful city and really is well worth the visit, there are excellent transport links with the rest of the UK and some other parts of the world.

The people are very warm hearted and friendly. Please do not let the media's portrayal of the Troubles (1969-1999) deter you from visiting Northern Ireland, since it is a far cry away from the portrayals given by the media.

Belfast is a city that's really blossoming now and shining. I'm from Wales, not Northern Ireland, so I do speak as an impartial observer and traveller. There's excellent shopping amenities and parking facilities readily available throughout Belfast.

To get a balanced and extensive view of Belfast I really urge all explorers to board the City Sight Seeing Bus, which departs from the city centre 0900-1700 (Mon-Sun) - please be advised that there's discounts available should you purchase your ticket(s). Tickets may be purchased at a discounted rate on-line.

Just travelled to Belfast to visit family. First time in the North what a wonderfully scenic country. Belfast city is thriving with many modern buildings emerging into the skyline. We visited ;
Castle Court shopping centre - ultra modern
Victoria Square shopping centre and restaurants - fabulous
Busy modern streets and quiet back streets
Belfast Castle - what a treat beautiful
H&W Docks - Titanic area - kinda spooky really but def worth visit
Further north we visited Giants Causeway, Carrick -a-Rede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle.

Belfast - fabulous and the people so friendly

“Belfast/ Northern Ireland Giants Causeway”
Reviewed 11 October 2009

We visited Belfast City. It has so much to offer- great restaurants, great shopping. We especially enjoyed the site of the Titanic. We liked walking around and exploring the city of the Belfast. Also great- the Giant's Causeway and Coastal Road which are nearby and well worth the visit. Cute little towns along the coastal road- many places for picnics.
