I went to Miel et Moi for Afternoon Tea with my mum and dad on a week day. The staff was very nice and the food was generally good. Also nice atmosphere as always and busy enough for a Thursday afternoon.

A few things however made the whole experience not as great as it could've been.
On arrival staff couldn't find our reservation despite me having booked by phone and also dropped off a deposit to hold a table in person a few days beforehand. This was sorted quickly enough and we got a seat.
The wait to get the food was quite long, but the most annoying thing is that we were served tea almost immediately and by the time food arrived tea was cold. Surely we could have ordered more and pay for it, but I don't want to be forced to do so because my tea got cold while I waited on food.
As said, the quality of the food was good enough and we enjoyed sandwiches, buns and scones, all very fresh.
When asking for the bill I was presented with a full bill, my deposit hadn't been taken off and was asked to show the receipt of my deposit which I had thankfully kept. Small details.

In sum: good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere with a few too many glitches which unfortunately didn't make the whole experience too enjoyable.

Visited Miel et Moi this afternoon for lunch after hearing some good reviews. It absolutely lived up to its name. Beautiful decor and lovely waiting staff. In particular a waitress called Debs was just wonderful! We had a little 8 month old with us and Debs couldnt have looked after us better. We had toast and a banana waiting for us before we had even looked at our own menu. Fantastic service, and I also saw the waiting staff take great care of an elderly couple who were beside us. The lunch felt luxurious and the hint at bottomless prosecco will make sure we'll be back for another date. Absolutely made our day - thanks to all for a job well done. And the food was fab too!

Saw on facebook that Miel et Moi were doing a chocolate Easter surprise special so came up with the kids and my mum. Lovely day out with a great atmosphere. They were very busy but still managed to accommodate us. The kids loved the chocolate Easter treat and we had cocktails and cake. They even made a mocktail for my mum. Would defo come back.

This was my second time in and it's confirmed I won't be back. The service is so very slow and the whole place seems a bit chaotic and disorganised and the staff don't seem to have had any hospitality training.
When my order came it was wrong. Nice decor/venue but there are several other nice places where you can get your order served correctly and in under 20 minutes!

Visited on Sunday hoping for coffee, cakes and scones. Got all of these, the coffee was drinkable-just. Scone was processed not fresh, served with whipped cream, NOT clotted and a stingy spoonful of jam. The so called banana bread had no taste or even hint of banana again versus processed a Mr Kipling cake might have been nicer. Would not go back. Very overpriced, avoid at all costs.

Hi there Jane,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of your experience.

Our scones are baked fresh every morning, we have not and never would serve processed scones.

Scones can be served with whipped cream or clotted cream, this is a matter of preference. Our cream is also whipped up fresh every day. We also would have happily given you more jam.

Our banana bread is home made using real bananas and is vegan friendly.

We apologise for you experience. If you would like to discuss this further please email us - info@mieletmoi.com

Thanks
