Description: Contemporary Indian cuisine, located on bank street in the heart of Belfast City centre. At Safa we offer authentic Indian recipes and traditional style of cooking. Ali takes great pride in cooking to order and grinding all his own spices so it really is the closest to Indian home cooking you can get. We also have a full bar and incredible wine list.

visited safa for lunch last week and i wasnt disappointed. The lunch menu is really reasonably priced and offer a good variety of options.

i ordered the spicy filled potato cases for starters and the chicken madras for mains. the starter was out v quickly and was beautiful. it was full of flavour and a nice kick....i could have eaten more :) the chicken madras was another success. it was spicy and really tasty and the pilau rice was light and a perfect accompaniment.

i will definitely be back!!

We were worried when we arrived, as we had the place to ourselves..but by the time we left, it was nearly full. Service really good, and our food was lovely. It didn't blow our minds but enjoyed it just the same. Would deffo go back.

Went for a dinner date on a Saturday night. Rang and booked ahead just in case. We arrived half an hour early and they managed to get us a table.

Service was excellent, staff were polite and friendly.

Possibly one of the nicest Indians I have ever eaten, absolutely beautiful.

We had the Safa platter to start, excellent variety, value and taste.

Rogan Josh and Chicken Korma for mains along with 3 side orders, again everything was beautiful.

All in for our food and two beers it was £54 (plus tip).

Mood and surroundings in the restaurant were outstanding. Seating in the restaurant is well spaced, not too close together, you can have a private conversation without worrying about others listening.

Hopefully the first visit of many! Excellent for a date or dinner with friends and family as they cater to both.
