I recently visited Belfast, Northern Ireland(early Aug. 2005) and to my surprize I seen black taxi tours and double decker sightseeing buses). This peeked my interest a little....I decided to hop on and go with the flow of all the other tourists......as we travelled down the Shankill Road I was amazed at all the beautiful red, white and blue streamers, the busy street with friendly faces, children smiling as they held there mum's hands. Our travel guide on the bus had said this was a very safe area to be in and if we would like to be let off anywhere just say so..........not being able to help myself I decided to hop off the bus........the best choice I made in Belfast(except carrick-a-reed rope bridge!!).....I travelled up and down the Shankill Road as if I lived there! I hopped in and out of shops and even went into the famous Rex bar(it really is haunted) I would advise all people to take a walk up and down this famous, friendly, happy road as it is filled with happiness, pleasure and good old fashioned happy people. I can't wait to go back!
