Had a fantastic night at The Points, was my first time there for a whiskey tasting for "national world whiskey day" . Its was a great night, Paul the host was wonderful and filled us with lots of whiskey wisdom. I hope they host more events like this in the future. The atmosphere was fab. Such a cool, chilled out bar with awesome staff with a special mention to Kevin who made us feel very welcome and made our night even more rememberable. I will definitely be back with friends and highly recommend visiting this bar if your in the area. Massive thanks for a cracking night

The Points was great place to grab a few pints and enjoy the local flavor. Although we didn’t stay late enough for the music, we did note the stage was ready to go and centrally located. I bet it is a lot of fun when they start jamming. Fine employees and different décor and furniture so you can sit in different areas to suit your mood.

It does look imposing from the outside, but do go inside, very good place to chat and drink a pint. all kinds of people there

We arrived at about 9pm and managed to get a table close to the stage...the music was great and the staff all super efficient and friendly.. the chap in the gents toilet was great and assume he is just keeping an eye on things...by the time the clock struck 10.30 the place was heaving and for people of our vintage it was time to go!...brilliant evening...thank you

Upon arrival, The Points looked rather daunting; the sign had a dagger illustrated on it and the interior stank of bleach. However, once we’d settled down with a pint of Kilkenny and the Irish band took to the stage, the smell subsided and we found ourselves gleefully soaking up the jolly Irish atmosphere. While we were saddened to not have heard Ed Sheeran’s Galway Girl be played, it was perhaps for the best as we were able to have the full Irish musical experience. It was enchanting.
