The location of the cottage was perfect, central for everything we wanted to see Rhossili, Oxwixh Bay, Swansea and much more.
The cottage itself was lovely inside and comfortable and we enjoyed staying there. There were a few DIY things that needed doing such as a smashed lampshade in the bedroom, shower head wouldn’t stay up, light bulbs not working etc which if done would have given it a higher review score. However, the place is lovely and the lady who greeted us was very friendly.
Just back from a wonderful week in Burry Cottage with our two dogs. The cottage and it's surrounding gardens were sublime, couldn't have asked for better. A warm welcome from Marjory on arrival who then left us to it with an assurance that she would be on hand if we needed anything. In the event, we didn't need anything, our dogs romped in the beautiful and extensive gardens, we walked the stunning heaths and peaks, rested on incredible beaches before collapsing in front of the woodburner as the evenings cooled. Perfect!
You will gather that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it won't surprise you to learn that we'll be back. Thanks Marjory and Barry, it was just what we needed. Dan&Di and Alfie&Pocket X
Lovely, characterful cottage with plenty of space for two. Ceramics and furnishings from Hong Kong add extra interest! (The owners used to live there). Access to lovely gardens, which we didn't make the best of as it was December, but would be great during warmer periods of the year. Well equipped for cooking, and a wide range of laminated walking guides provided.
