We stayed here with a few friends while visiting another friend in Cardiff, the location is about as good as it gets (right on the high street) yet the rooms seem to be a million miles away from the busy street below, the big open spaces with some great decor are a welcome sight after a night out! Staff were very helpful and gave us some great recommendations for things to do while in Cardiff. Can't wait to return!

Just had my second stay at this hotel. It’s about 15 mins walk from Cardiff Central and about 2 mins walk from the castle. The rooms are really well themed, with a comfy bed, huge TV and luxurious bathroom. Fluffy white towels are available as are bathrobes, slippers and lovely toiletries. There’s a small fridge with complementary bottled water, tea & coffee and even a small box of chocs. You’ll also find a hairdryer, iron with full sized board, and a safe. I had room service both times I stayed, each meal arrived in good time and was very nice. Breakfast on my second stay was a tad chaotic as only one person serving, but that’s a tiny niggle. Overall I felt very well looked after, and as I’ll be in Cardiff reasonably regularly this will be my first choice. Room rate similar to the Travelodge but they’re miles apart when it comes to quality! Very friendly staff too. Top marks!

Location wise you couldn’t get much better than this City Centre hotel right in the heart of Cardiff on Queen Street. If you are arriving by train no problem, if driving it’s city centre so parking is pricey but the nearest NCP is right behind the hotel at a cool £25 per 24 hours (20% off for residents). Reception staff friendly, bar and restaurant staff the same. Room on the 5th floor, clean, large, fresh, quirky, warm with all the mod cons. Great breakfast which I added on at £10 on check-in, don’t know if that’s the norm but great selection and hot food cooked order and taken in Marco Pierre Whites on the 6th floor. Lovely hotel, well priced and my first choice now when staying in Cardiff.

So two of us stayed here for a weekend in March 2018. Check in was seamless, friendly and informative . The room was just amazing. The right amount of homage to wales balanced with top of the range facilities. Stand out was the bed - comfy just doesn’t cover it. Staff managed to get us a last minute reservation in the adjoining Marco Pierre White restaurant which was sublime. Absolutely nothing the fault from service to choice to food....which was a stark contrast to a couple seated next to us who returned beautiful food back to the kitchen not once but twice... without tasting it... it never ceases to amaze me why grumpy people chose to go out the eat... message to the grumpy - stay at home and stop spoiling other people’s experiences. Definitely planning our next visit to this gem of a hotel...miss it at your peril .
