Loved it here! The facilities are excellent, everything you could want and more.
Perfect location for getting around the Brecon Beacons. We visited lots of wonderful places (Showcaves, Four Falls, Hay on Wye, Craig y Nos Castle) then came back to a relaxing hot tub.
Annabel was on hand when we couldn't work out the washing machine (our fault, not the washers!).
The dogs had fun running around the garden and we could relax knowing they were secure and not able to visit the neighbouring sheep. The little lambs are adorable.
We would definitely visit again!
Really lovely, spacious cottage. We had a wonderful long weeekend. We were keen to get somewhere with no light pollution so that the dads could use their telescopes. Despite the bright moon, it was such a success. The outdoors is great. There is a play room with table tennis which the kids loved. All bedrooms are large with lovely ensuite bathrooms. Enough space for everyone to hang out and relax. My personal favourite was the view from the kitchen - such a relaxing, peaceful way to start the day with a cup of fresh coffee. Thank you so much Annabelle for making us feel so welcome, see you very soon.
Our family booked Baddegai for the Christmas holidays and we all agreed that it was a very good choice. All bedrooms are ensuite , with wonderful view of the Brecon countryside. The wood burners, with a plentiful supply of logs, made the house very warm and cosy, perfect for Christmas. We especially appreciated the very spacious and well equipped kitchen which made catering for a large gathering run smoothly. Everything has been thought through well, from the utility come boot room to the wonderful hot tub, which was greatly enjoyed by the younger members of the family. All this and the glorious Beacons - and its pet friendly, what's not to like!
The Brecon Beacons is perhaps one of the UK's most attractive National Parks, and Baddegai is extremely well placed for some of the key attractions. In the week we spent there over the New Year holiday, we were able to walk the trail around the beautiful waterfalls at Ystradfellte, including Sgwd yr Elra where the path runs behind the curtain of the water. We also walked up Pen y Fan, close to the cottage, and along the banks of the Brecon and Monmouth canal. By way of contrast, the Penderyn distillery, located in the village of the same name around 10 miles away, provides an interesting tour and whisky tasting.
Baddegai is a very well equipped property, with four en suite rooms, spacious lounge and dining room (both with wood burners) and a large and well kitted-out kitchen. It is located in a secluded valley below Pen y Fan, has a good size garden, games room and hot tub. The house is surrounded by farmland and offers a good level of privacy. The owners were particularly helpful and even allowed use of their small, astronomical telescope during our stay - well worth the effort in setting it up if the sky is clear and the moon out, given the very low level of light pollution in the Beacons.
Our party of 8 really enjoyed our stay and can fully recommend the property, its immediate location, and this part of the Brecon Beacons National Park.
This cottage is just beautiful; the location is stunning with lovely views from every room. All the bedrooms are large with own bath or shower room along with a settee so plenty of room to unwind. The living accommodation is also spacious. The wood burners were very welcome especially after a long chilly walk! Would recommend to any age, we had 3 generations and everyone lived it.
