“Lovely cottage in the heart of Llanberis”
Reviewed 3 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

The tray of tea laid ready for us was very welcome after a long journey. There was ample space for all six of us, including the two children who loved the bunk beds. A nice cosy little cottage. The bed in the front bedroom was very comfortable and the view was amazing. We couldn't drag ourselves away from it to get out of bed in the morning. There wasn't over much storage or wardrobe space in the other two bedrooms. It was great to have all the walks and amenities of Llanberis within walking distance. The local shop had enough variety to be able to cook basic meals as well as all the usual supplies. We had a problem with light bulbs, but Ella quickly sorted it all out for us. The only difficulty we had was in parking the car. You have a small space and have to park at an angle, avoiding the steel post in the way. We don't have a long car, but it took lots of manoeuvring to get it off the road. Ella was very helpful and made sure everything was as it should be and that we were happy. We had a great week with the grandchildren exploring the area and visiting the castles.

“A cosy cottage with everything you need”
Reviewed 26 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We visited Llanberis in July with very high expectations of getting to know Snowdonia. Sadly it rained for four days which meant we were not able to do the things we'd hoped. In fact, we didn't see Snowdon at all during our four day trip despite it being just behind the cottage. However, the cottage was cosy and warm (thank goodness the heating was on so we could dry our clothes) and had all the creatures comforts. The owner Ella was very good at answering my questions and replying promptly. She obviously cares for the cottage and does a good job at ensuring people have what they want and enjoy their stay - thank you Ella.
The only thing I would say is that, whilst it has all you need, it's not 5 star luxury. The kitchen is lovely and has been recently refurbished. The bathroom was very clean but not of the same standard. It was very annoying that we had to pay for a full week at this time of year (before school holidays had started) so this ended up being expensive for what we got.
When we come back again we'd consider staying here again or a couple of days.

“Nice Cottage”
Reviewed 7 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

A group of 5 adults stayed in Ty Byr for 3 nights. The details provided by Ella were precise and helpful. The house is well kitted out . It is well situated in the village. Parking for 1 car is available right in front of the house. It is a good base for a walking holiday. Note of caution- taller adults, beware of hitting your head on the stair ceiling when coming down to the toilet during the night!! We had a lovely stay in Ty Byr..

“Warm,cosy,welcoming cottage”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We spent 3 nights staying in Ty Byr and had such a wonderful time !The cottage is charming, cosy and spotlessly clean. A lot of effort was put in to ensure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing; tea and biscuits waiting for us on arrival, towels neatly folded on our beds,a manual informing us if all the local amenities/attractions. Such great attention to detail, we even had milk left in the fridge for us!
The kitchen is well equipped and modern. The beds are lovely and comfortable and there is a lovely big bath tub to soak in after a long days hiking!
The house is minutes walk from the local village with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.
Ella was on hand to answer any of our questions and was an excellent host. We will be returning again!!
