“10 out of 10 weekend!”
Reviewed 17 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We travelled down from London to the village on a Friday night. It was a long drive, and quite brisk outside when we arrived at the cottage (just after midnight). We were bracing ourselves for a cold house! The first blessing of this stay was how lovely and warm it was in the house when we arrived. The house was also immaculate, and very cosy! We snuggled in to the VERY comfy bed, and had a lovely quiet night’s sleep.

On Saturday we woke up to breath-taking views of the mountains just outside the front door, it really is an amazing location, we felt like we had stepped in to The Hobbit! The owners have thought of everything, from coffee makers, to the George Forman grill, and a selection of teas!

We were very lucky, in that we were able to book Kat in as our guide for our hike up Snowdon. Kat was a lovely, friendly guide – and even gave me a bite of her sandwich! The mountain was incredible, we had very crisp, clear blue skies, and spectacular views. I can’t recommend enough that you take a hike up Snowdon.

We were pleasantly chilly by the end of our walk, and looking forward to a cup of tea back at the cottage. My partner switched on the lovely gas fire in the living room, and we took advantage of the big, deep bath! A 10 out of 10 day!

We had booked Kat in again on the Sunday, this time for a climbing lesson. We got very lucky with the weather again, a warm day with clear sky. We both felt very safe in Kat’s hands, and very privileged to be taken to a beautiful alpine area where Kat taught us some climber’s basics, and encouraged us up the cliff face!

Next we headed out to lunch at one of the restaurants recommended in the Cottage’s guide, ‘Dylans’ at Menai Bridge. We had an amazing view out to the lake, and a very tasty lunch of Scallops, Crevettes, and Moules Mariniere, washed down with a beautiful glass of the Chenin blanc each. Feeling very full, we bought a piece of cake to take home with us, and headed back to the cottage to snuggle up on the comfy sofa’s, wrapping up in the snug blankets and reading our books. Another 10 out of 10 day!

On our last day I headed out to grab some bits from breakfast from the Spar, and had a potter in some of the local shops. The Spar is well stocked, I even managed to find an Avocado! The locals are very friendly and welcoming, and the town is very pretty with its multi-coloured houses.

We were loathe to head back home, so opted for the slightly longer scenic route through the mountains and back home to London.

Thank you Kat and Ella, we had a great time, and will definitely be returning!

“Perfect Cosy Cottage near Snowdon”
Reviewed 17 February 2016 for a stay in February 2016

The cottage is ideally located just off the main high street in Llanberis with easy access to the shops and is just a 10 minute drive to Snowdon.

Ella and Cat were fabulous hosts and made sure that when we arrived it was warm and and clean and everything had been left out ready for us to use, ideal after a long journey.

After a busy day hiking up Snowdon it was just lovely to come back and have a hot bath in the huge tub and cosy up in front of the fire with a glass of wine. The bed was also extremely comfortable with a nice warm duvet and extra pillows should you need them.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils you could need....in fact more so than my own kitchen at home!

I honestly couldn't recommend this place more highly to anyone looking for somewhere to get away from it all and unwind for a few days. I will be a encouraging all my friends and family to stay there. A real home from home!
